Daily routines and Time Management V grade

Aim: By the end of the lesson students will be able to:


-recognize, pronounce and spell the new words about the topic «Daily
routines and Time Management
-fulfil grammar tasks on present simple in affirmative, negative and
questions
-listen for gist or special information in the given text
-speak about their daily routines and time management using the new
vocabulary
Standarts: 1.1.1 , 1.1.2, 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3

Strategy: Surveys, sentence completion, mingling, discussion
Resources: Students book, worksheets, audio material
Motivation: When do you usually get up? How many times do you
attend your basketball circle?
How many hours do you spend on your homework? Can you control the
time spent on computer games?
Research question: Is time management a key to success?
Researching: We divide the students into pairs. Each pair is given two
small texts. The first text is about a successful woman who can manage
her time properly. The second is about a young man who fails his exam
because of bad time management.
Information exchange: Pairs make presentations on advantages and
disadvantages of time management and share their answers with one
another.
Information discussion: Every student writes his or her daily routine
and reads it in front of the class.
Summary: Listening to different audial materials on daily routine and
time management and discussing students improve their listening and
speaking skills
Creative work: Compose your own time management schedule.
Assessment: We assess students according to their activities during the
lesson:
1. Can listen for gist or specified information
2. Can use the right forms of present simple while describing his (or
her) daily routines.
3. Can easily describe the advantages of Time Management.
