Dear PS/IS 48 Families,

The health and safety of our students continue to be our chief priority in the wake of the evolving
situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) in New York City. Currently, there are no known or
suspected cases of coronavirus at PS/IS 48. Students are in attendance and teachers are providing
instruction. There is not yet a plan for online or virtual learning through the Department of Education. If
our directives should change, we will keep you informed.

The DOE continues to aggressively work to keep our students and families safe, healthy, and informed
as the coronavirus evolves in New York City. Please be aware that the DOE will continue to send further
guidance and protocols, as well as instructional guidance if students must stay at home or a school must
be closed. Please see below for ways to stay up to date with facts and guidance about coronavirus.

The health and safety of our students continues to be our priority. We will continue to take things one
