License Registration Portal User Interface

Select the Personal Account or Smart Account
1. After logging in, the user has the
option to show the available licenses
either for the user’s Personal
Account or a specific Smart Account Personal Account

2. The Personal Account option will 1 Smart Accounts


show all the PAKs, Licenses, and
Devices registered to that user
whereas the Smart Account option
will show the PAKs, Licenses, and
Devices only associated to that
specific Smart Account 2
Smart Account and Virtual Account
1. After selecting a specific Smart
Account, the option is available to
select an associated Virtual Account 1
2. The list now shows the licenses
available for the selected Smart
Account and Virtual Account

Basic Layout
1. After logging in, the user will initially
see the System Message. Click the
X to close the message 1
2. The Settings link allows the user to
view or edit the following:
a. System Message
b. Profile information
c. Language (default is English)

dependent on what was
selected in the main level

1. Click the Help link for assistance
2. The Virtual Customer Assistant
window appears to type in the 1
question or keywords and click Ask.
Other options include:
a. Live Chat: opens a chat window
with a Global Licensing
Operations (GLO) agent (when
available)
b. Docs & Videos: opens web
page to the LRP training
collateral
c. Open a Case: opens a new 2
email window
d. Contact Us: opens web page
that provides Cisco contact
information by region
Add PAKs to a Smart Account
1. After logging in, the user will see the
Smart Account and can select the
desired Virtual Account 1
2. Click on Add New PAKs/Tokens

3. Enter the PAK (the user has the
option here to change to a different
Virtual Account)
4. Click the OK button

5. A message appears that the PAK
was successfully added and the
status is Unfulfilled

Add PAKs to a Smart Account via Sales Order#
Another way to add PAK(s) to a Smart
Account/Virtual Account is by the Sales
Order number (ID)
1. Click the radio button next to Look
Up PAK using Sales Order ID
2. Enter the Sales Order number 1 2 3
3. Click the Look Up button which will
bring up the list of PAKs associated
with that Sales Order

4. Check the box next to each
PAK/Token to add to the Smart
Account
5. Click the OK button
6. A message appears that the PAK 4
was successfully added and the
status is Unfulfilled

Convert Classic Licenses to Smart Licenses
1. Check the box next to the the PAK
you want to convert.
2. Click the blue arrow next to the PAK
which provides a drop-down menu

3. Select either the Convert to Smart
Licensing option from the list of

options next to the PAK or the
Convert selected PAKs to Smart
Licensing from the Manage PAKs
drop-down menu

4. Click the Submit button. Please
note once the PAK is converted, it
can no longer be used for any future
transactions

5. A message appears confirming the
PAK has been converted to a Smart
License (Entitlement) 5
6. The status now shows Converted
(from Unfulfilled)

7. To convert a partial quantity of the
available licenses, enter the number
in the Quantity to Convert field 7
8. Once the licenses have been
successfully converted, the status
now shows Partially Converted
9. To view the converted licenses,
access the Smart Software
Manager portal and navigate to the
Licenses tab in the Smart Account
and Virtual Account that was
specified when the conversion was
performed
