and it provides preventive curative and palliative care to the patients and it is also the place for providing
medical education and the conducting the various research.

Hospital management is defined as the process of managing the human resources and the other
resources tactfully, effectively and efficiently.

Definition of management- Management is a process of getting things done through the organized group
efforts by forecasting, planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating and controlling of activities of the
others.

It is an art of knowing and getting things done through the effort of others in a best and
cheapest way.

In short management is defined as the process of various activities of planning, organizing, executing,
controlling, performing to determine and accomplish the objectives by use of people and resources.

MANAGEMENT IS “ART” AS WELL AS “SCIENCE”.

Management is defined as an art of it getting it done by effective and efficient utilization of resources. In
order to utilize the resources effectively and efficiently different organization adopt different techniques
and implement those techniques in a different way in order to achieve the objective.

So management is an art where different techniques or methods are adopted.
