Mil Veces

Introduction

Mil veces is a song recorded by Brazilian singer Anitta. It was released on

October 19, 2023, through Republic Records, as the fourth single from their sixth
studio album Funk Generation.
The single "Mil Veces" was announced on September 22 via snippet. The
next day, Anitta released part of the song's instrumental at the Global Citizen festival.
On September 26 and 29 and October 6 and 9, new snippets of the song and music
video were released. Universal made the model available in CapCut on September
30 and pre-save on October 4. The single's cover art and release date were released
on October 9th and 10th.
In the song, Anitta talks about a troubled relationship, but one that is full of
passion and difficult to end. An often vicious cycle of comings and goings, containing
misunderstandings, breakups and turns. Anitta's vocals reinforce the idea of music
where the relationship is forbidden. The voices refer to dreams or "trips" without
knowing if it has already happened or is it all in her head, which she has fantasized
more than a thousand times.
In "Mil Veces" shines the funk melody, a subgenre of funk from Rio de Janeiro
marked by romantic lyrical content and more melodic and soft musical production.
The melody is pulled towards reggaeton with strong beats, mainly funk.

Music video

The music video for "Mil Veces", directed by Jackson Tisi, was released on
October 19, 2023. The lyric video was released a day later. Filming took place on
September 28 in Toronto, Canada.
The music video features the special participation of the vocalist of the band
Måneskin, David Damiano, as Anitta's romantic partner, where super sensual and
hot scenes are played. Anitta and Damiano are a couple who are going through a
troubled phase and who solve everything in bed. At one point, they get into a bad
fight and the Brazilian woman even holds a broken glass bottle in her hand.
However, in another, the two are already in the shower, kissing a lot.

Costumes
The costumes for the music video, in turn, were by Ronnie Hart.

Mil Veces by Anitta

This song is a delight! I love the pop appeal of the lyrics, about a relationship
that wasn't supposed to last long, but that drags on full of ups and downs. It's crazy...
It's a dynamic that many people may have already experienced. I believe that "Mil
Veces" can generate people's identification. The clip is very hot! Sexy, dynamic and
with a beautiful aesthetic... Playing opposite Damiano, who is a cutie and has
become a friend, was amazing.

Global and 22nd position on the Billboard Hot 100 (Brazil). The song has already

Kikiki (Curiosities)

The sound aesthetic is very characteristic of Anitta's early works, in tracks

such as "Eu Vou Ficar" and "Meiga e Abusada".
During the recording of the music video, Anitta was super nervous to play
opposite David Damiano. The singer has always had a crush on David and turned
that fantasy into the video.
