Hello everybody,

We have decided to add retro aircraft into Go2Sky Virtual. Therefore, Boeing 737 CL can be found
in our fleet now. In real life, Go2Sky was using the Boeing 737-400 variant. However, as IXEG only
offers 737-300, we’ve made a compromise and registrations OM-GTB and OM-GTD will be valid
for -300 variant. Of course, the weights in Simbrief will be valid for -300 variant as well. In the
following text, I am going to show you how to properly set-up speed bugs and how to correctly
retract and extend flaps. So, let’s get right into it!!!

Speed bug setting:

1 .Take off:
V1,Vr,V2+15, flaps up mamuvering

2.Landing: Vref - 2 bugs, Vref + 20, maneuvering speed for clean configuration
-

Example:

From the runway analysis, I’ve got three speeds; v1=135kts, vR=135 and v2=140 and take-off
weight is 60 tonnes. Flaps for take-off are going to be 15 – therefore, one bug will be for 135 and
the second one as well, the third will be on 155kts and fourth to 220kts. When the aircraft gets to
v2 + 15kts, I am going to retract the flaps to notch 5, when the aircraft gets to speed of 180kts,
I am retracting the flaps to notch 1, when the aircraft gets to speed of 200kts, the flaps are going
to be fully retracted. As the aircraft gets to 220kts, I am starting to accelerate the aircraft to
250kts or enroute climb speed, or according to the SID restrictions. An alternative procedure is
valid even for approach, so we can expect our landing weight to be 56 tonnes and vREF 145kts –
therefore, one speed bug will be set at 220, two will be at 145 and one at 165kts. And as I start to
slow down the aircraft, first I am going to slow down to 220kts, I set my flaps 1, then I start
slowing down to 200, set flaps 5, etc.

(one bug is additional and you can set it to 80kts airspeed indicator crosscheck during take-off)

I hope this is clear. In addition, I send you a chart, which I require you to remember during flying
with this aircraft type.
