The FIB1-GBIC/SFP Transceiver is a high performance, cost effec-

tive module for serial optical datacommunications applications speci-
fied for a single/multi mode of 1.25Gb/s. It operates with +3.3V/5V
SC(GBIC) Type
power supply. The module is intended for single/multi mode fiber, oper-
ates at a nominal wavelength of 1310/850nm and complies with Giga-
bit Interface Converter (GBIC). Each FIB1-GBIC/SFP Transceiver con-
sists of a transmitter optical subassembly, a receiver optical subas-
sembly and an electrical subassembly. All are housed in a stainless
package and the combination produces a component of high reliability.

The FIB1-GBIC/SFP Transceiver is a duplex SC/LC transceiver de-

signed for use in Gigabit Ethernet and to provide a IEEE-802.3z com-
pliant link for 1.25Gb/s short reach applications. The characterization
is performed in accordance with Bellcore Specification TA-NWT-000983.
