Missing Bread Roll

It was Thanksgiving evening, and Taylor’s family

gathered around the dining room table. Taylor sat down
next to his mother. Everything looked and smelled delicious,
he couldn’t wait to start eating. He grabbed a bread roll,
took a bite, and placed it on his plate. Next, he reached for
the mashed potatoes. His mother stopped him and
reminded him they needed to pray over the food first.
Taylor closed his eyes while his father blessed the food.
Afterwards, when he opened his eyes, he realized his
bread roll was missing. Taylor looked all around him,
wondering what happened to the roll. Then, he looked under
the table and saw his dog Spot licking his lips. He knew
exactly what happened to the bread. Taylor laughed and
decided he would wait to eat until after prayer next time.
