Hello class, today I'm going to talk about the jobs of the future.

These are the topics of my work: I will give start with a brief introduction to the subject,
followed by three examples of modern jobs and I will end finish with a short conclusion.
As we all know, Over the decades, the world of work has gone through many changes.
Some of those have happened because of developments in technology and the global
pandemic, which made it necessary to create new jobs. Nowadays, everything is more
automated and robotic, which has left many people without jobs as they have been replaced
by machines. The trend we’re seeing also reflects a shift from a more traditional office
setting to a remote or hybrid setting
In the first place, we see many influencers online, which is not something older generations
would ever dream of having asimagined being a paid occupation. It is a well-paid job in our
current time, and it brings many benefits, both to the brands involved in these paid
advertisements ads and to the people making money out of them. Mariana Machado is an
example of a woman who was used to be a nurse and from one moment to the next risked
her life left that behind to becomeand is now one of the most recognized fashion influencers
in Portugal.
Furthermore, Uber is an application where people can order or ask for a transportation or
something to be delivered. This has evolved a lot since the pandemic, especially considering
people could not leave the house and had to have food and other essential things delivered
to their doors.

Moreover, most supermarkets and bug stores, including, for example, some locations if Zara
stores in big cities, now have self self-checkout available. Through this, people can scan
their items themselves and pay directly in the machine. This does have the benefit of
reducing waiting time in the Check out line. However, the machines have replaced the
people checking outcashiers. This is another examples of how advancements in te
technology have cut some jobs, which is one of the biggest disadvantages and trends that
we are seeing in the future job market.

To sum up, the world has suffered a lot of progress, which led to the creation of many new
positions. Certainly, there will be even more new jobs in the future, to go hand in hand with
advances in technology and developments in society.
