Bắt đầu game: before starting the topic, how about we play a
little game to warm up? I may need some talented artists for
this guessing game
I. History
As we know, all jobs start with something called demand. When a job is in
demand, it means there are a lot of people needed to do that job but when
there’s low demand for a job, there are few people needed. So, have you ever
asked yourself what determines whether a job is in high demand or low
demand? History has the answer.
Now, let’s think about jobs that people used to do like a log roller. People
would stand on logs and float them down a river to get them from the forest
to the wood mill. However, these days we use trucks to quickly move them
from the forest to the wood mill . So there was a big demand for log rollers
until the truck was invented. Now that demand is gone and so is the job. So
many of the jobs that are in demand right now exist because of changes in
the past. There was a time when farmers used nothing but their hands and a
few strong animals to tend their fields. Over the years, machines were
invented to help farmers work faster with less effort, but that meant
farmhands who worked on farms lost their jobs.
At the same time new jobs were created because farm machines needed
people to design, build, operate and maintain them, understanding where
jobs came from and what jobs are in demand today. Lets see into the future.
This is called a job outlook. Let's use pizza night as an example. Have you
thought about how pizza gets to your home? Delivery people, right? Some of
them drive cars, some use bikes and others walk to deliver your food, but this
job can be tricky. There are lots of other cars on the roads and they can slow
down deliveries. It's a tough problem. How would you solve it? Could you
ever imagine that robots would be a solution? In the very near future robots
like self-flying helicopters also known as drones could be delivering your
favorite food. Think about it because drones fly, they don't need to worry
about things like traffic or running into other people. It's so much faster not
to mention a cool way to have your pizza delivered. So by seeing what
problems people have when doing their jobs today and thinking about
creative solutions to those problems, you can start to predict how those jobs
may change in the future. Even better, you can predict new jobs that don't
even exist yet you could end up building the robots of the future.
So now let move to the next part Labor requirement and have an overview of how it has
changed -
I. Labor Requirement
1. In the Past
So let's start with the past, more specifically, the 2000s
In the 2000s, when the communications technology boom was just
beginning to take off, the workforce was still dominated by workers
when they didn't need much specialized, backgound knowledge or
communication skills. because the job is mainly manual labor.
Like working in industrial plants, cashier, and specifc like :
typist - a person who is skilled in using a typewriter,
especially one who is employed for this purpose.
Or milkman that no longer exist because the invention of the
refrigerator (ri phít giơ rator) made milk become long-life
In some countries like Vietnam, you can find a job after graduating
from high school or even junior high school, and have a good health to
work. That’s ALL
1. In the Present
But now it's not that simple anymore
Degrees and certificates are becoming more and more important, In
some countries, getting a master's or bachelor's degree is required to
get a job
Accompanied ( ơ com pa ny) by experience related to the position and
job they are targeting, Employers spend more time looking at this
section than any other part of your CV.
With the breakthrough in the field of science, thousands of jobs are
associated with the use of modern technology, requiring machine
knowledge
And many important think like commnucation skills, Personal
qualities and attributes, Physical abilities, languages and so on.
I. Conclusion
Through this presentation, we can see that over the past two decades, the
world's labor market has clearly changed.
Labor requirements have gradually increased. Besides the university
diploma, they need to have more degrees or certificates to be able to
find a good job.
Increasingly developing technology has brought many benefits to the
labor market, but at the same time it also causes some disadvantages.
