ACCIDENT DETECTION
& ALERT ANDROID APP
ABSTRACT
Road traffic accidents are considered an issue of significant concern with ever-
growing traffic in the transport sector. The frequency of road accidents has increased
tremendously in this modern era, resulting in human life loss and property loss. The time taken
for the response team to reach the accident location increases the chances of mortality.
Recently, as technology is advancing in every area, new systems are being proposed to
prevent and detect accidents to save lives. The problem is approached by taking
advantage of mobile communication networks and the Internet of Things. The idea proposes
a simulation model that detects accidents using sensors. The circuit with sensors is integrated
with Arduino, which is designed and simulated in Proteus Simulation Tool. When the accident
is detected, a notification message is sent to friends and family through the detection app.
This app will be installed in the systems of officials as well as ambulance drivers so that with
the help of this alert messages they can easily reach the site within no time. Virtual Serial Port
Emulator software connects the Proteus Simulation Tool and IoT platform. Blynk IoT Platform is
used to design the prototype of the android application to detect accidents.
