1. (the study explains that parent’s decision is one great impact whether or not
enroll their kids on public or private schools)
Across the globe, it is an undeniable fact that the pandemic has altered all fields and
departments. Putting everyone on a remote situation having an individual’s life
completely pivoted from doing normal tasks that people do every day to having to
distance oneself from another, and although the consequences of pandemic are
completely apparent in the realms of healthcare and business, the extent of its impact
on schools and learning institutions is still unclear. Moreover, the limitations due to
COVID-19 pandemic have put a huge strain on both public and private schools in
grades K-12.
A study from Armentrout (2021) features how parents would react with having to choose
from private and public schools for the continuance of the studies of their children. The
focus of the study is how parents weighed decisions on whether to transfer their
children from public to private schools or vice versa. The result shows that there are
contributing factors before the decision and parents around the United States enrolling
their children based on management structure and school size.
In conclusion, the study indicates that the parents’ decision will always prevail especially
that there are crisis nowadays. The impact of the COVID-19 to school choice of the
students varies from every place and institution, as parents in America considered
structure and size, and this only shows that parents decision will take place into this as
parents wants to take charge to the health and safety of their kids.

2. (The study mentions different changes that concludes overall impact of COVID,
including the enrollment results between public and private schools)
Face-to-face classes turned to online learning platforms as a result of the immediate
responses from the schools and campuses when social distancing went completely
enforced as health protocol, a technique to avoid community transmission. This has
shifted the attention to e-Learning technologies and platforms for effective student
participation, which may be out of reach and out of budget for many students.
According to Tarkar (2020), there are significant factors included in assessment of
impact of the COVID-19 to the education. The study enumerates changes arose from
having to study online and assessed the overall impact, These includes utilizing
eLearning tools, the shortcomings of the current education system, and lastly, the
enrollment decisions of the students. Tarkar (2020), also recommends having further
studies for each factors in order in modifying the learning structure and strategic
management to fill the gaps of the current educational system based on the needs of
the many.
Therefore, we can say that it is important to know the impacts that influence the decision of the
students to study in private and public schools so that these will be used in further educational
researches and so recommendations that will help the students and administrations will be enumerated.

3. (The study shows that students decide based on financial resources, and
whether the school offers availability of education despite certain limitations
towards accessibility of technologies (if online or modular learning)
It is clear that going online is one way to continue learning and this has brought
numerous difficulties for students, teachers, and parents.
Tadesse and Muluye (2020), synthesized how pandemic is perceived through the
lenses of education in developing countries. It is said that financial sufficiency and
network availability are major components why students decide where and when to
enroll. Moreover, the design curriculum, preparation on teaching-learning strategies,
and enhancement of online teaching and virtual class infrastructures are considered
less priority in developing countries like several Asian countries including the
Philippines.
In conclusion, the unequal access to resources and technology pushes the student to
make up in the decisions whether to take their education in private or public institutions.
