EXTENSION FOR REGISTRATION AND EXAMINATION DAYS

Notice to Students
This is to inform all students that, due to a sharp increase of number of students requesting
OREX examinations, the University has approved extension for registration and examination
days as follows:

1. OREX Registration: The deadline for OREX registration has been extended to Friday
10th of July 2020. In addition to general examination registration procedures, students
are highly reminded to type their frequently accessible Phone Numbers in the
respective OREX text field. Note that the OREX Registration link is directly
accessible at http://orex.out.ac.tz or through University Website at
http://www.out.ac.tz.

2. OREX Examination Days: The OREX examination days have been extended for five
extra days. Thus, the OREX examinations will now run from 20th of July 2020 to 14th
of August 2020. However, students are notified that while in the process of adding extra
days, a slight error on the month name was committed. This has caused the additional
five days to read month of July instead of August. As a follow up response to this
problem, students are hereby informed that the error has already been addressed in the
system and all five additional days are now retrievable with correct month name of
August as per the plan of this OREX event. To avoid any possible confusion, the affected
students are strongly advised to reprint their Visa Cards for clarity purpose.

3. OREX Review Questions: The OREX review questions will be made available through
e-Learning platform on the respective course information page from 06th July 2020 and
not later than 10th of July 2020. Students are advised to contact their departments for
any further information about this.

4. Registration for Pen/Paper Examination: The exam registration for Pen and Paper
Examinations for Non-Degree students (Certificate and Diploma) has been extended to
Monday 06th July 2020. The system is accessible at http://des.out.ac.tz or through
University Website at http://www.out.ac.tz
5. ODEX-MTT Registration for Non-Degree Students: The exam registration for Main
Timed Test (MTT) under ODEX scheme has been extended to Friday 10th of July
2020. The registration is done through DRC Office and it is only eligible to non-
degree students (Certificate and Diploma). Note that this ODEX-MTT will be
conducted in all regional centers using Pen and Paper System from Monday 20th to
Friday 24th July 2020.

6. Round II Coursework Assessment through e-Learning Platform: Students are also

reminded that the Round II Coursework Assessment (CA) through eLearning
platform is still active for students at all levels. The system is accessible at
elms.out.ac.tz or through University Website at http://www.out.ac.tz. The
deadline for submission of CA activities is 20th July 2020. Students are informed
that no email or any other forms of Non-Moodle submissions will be accepted and
marked.
