CTTI Islamabad
In August 2006 CMTI started 13 skill development short courses ranging from 3
to 6 months alongwith 3 years Diploma in Auto & Diesel Technology. The same year,
Prime Minister Shoukat Aziz during his visit to CTTI directed to launch next phase
for capacity enhancement to cope u p with the emergent requirements of
Government’s Skill Development Program. In pursuance to Prime Minister’s orders,
DAE Civil Engineering along with capacity enhancement of all departments
commenced. As the training mandate shifted from Construction Machinery to
Construction Technology, CMTI was renamed as Construction Technology Training
Institute (CTTI) on
14 September 2006.
CTTI gets annual budget of Rs 360 Mn (for year 2023-2024) from Ministry of
Communication for pay & allces of its TO&E / auth staff, TA&DA, Ration, POL, Sui Gas,
Electricity & Telephone Bills. Any addition or increase in staff or instructors is approved
by Establishment Division & Ministry of Finance after concurrence of Ministry of
Communications.
Massive renovation / upgradation of Institute was carried out in 2021 and the
Institute was renamed as CTTI Campus KP, Risalpur. Today the Institute is running 3 x
DAE programs (3 x years), 1 x DIT (1 x year) and 12 x Short Courses with a capacity of
training 580 x Diploma students and 480 x Short Course students.
