Sub : - Technical Education -Implementation of AICTE Pay Scales to the

Teaching and other academic staff of Govt. Polytechnic and retired
staff in the State - Certain Instructions- Issued-Reg.

The attention of to the Regional Joint Directors of Technical Education,

Kakinada & Tirupati and the Principals of all Government Polytechnics under the
Administrative control of the Department of Technical Education is invited to the
reference 1st cited wherein the Government has issued orders for implementation of
AICTE Pay Scales to the working and retired Teaching staff, Library and Physical
Educational personnel in Govt. Polytechnics and Aided Polytechnics vide reference
1st cited.

2. The Government has informed vide reference 2nd cited that "no fiscal space
for providing additional funds for paying arrears in the current financial year till 31 st
December and the same will be considered in the last quarter depending on the
visibility of resources". Further, the Government has directed to take necessary
action to claim salary bills as per the revised AICTE pay scales 2016 issued vide
reference 1st cited.

3. In view of the above, the Principals of all Government Polytechnics are

requested to obtain duly filled in option forms from the Teaching staff including
Librarians and Physical Directors who are drawing AICTE pay scales,2006 and are
eligible for Andhra Pradesh Revised AICTE Scales of pay,2016 and wish to come to
the said scales and fix their pay as on 01.01.2016 in APRAICTE pay scales, 2016
duly following the guidelines/instructions as stipulated in the reference 1st cited and
scrutinize the pay fixation statements of his/her Polytechnics and countersignature
the same upto the level of Head of Section; further for fixation of pay in respect of
Principals to send the statements in triplicate together with the option to the
concerned Regional Joint Director of Technical Education for counter signature and
in respect of RJD's to submit this Office by 26.09.2022 so as to examine and
countersign the same for taking necessary action.

4. Further the Regional Joint Directors of Technical Education, Kakinada and

Tirupathi and Principals of all Government and aided Polytechnics are requested to
scrutinize the pay fixation statements as stipulated at para- 3 and countersignature
the same for taking necessary action at your end.

5. The receipt of the Circular Memo shall be acknowledged.
