COMMUNICATIVE To practise speaking and listening skills in English by engaging in a roleplay scenario
OBJECTIVE where students complain about a bad service.
TIMELINE / SESSION - Introduce the topic by displaying images of upset customers and ask students to
MANAGEMENT describe what they see.
- Introduce the concept of complaint to explain key terms and phrases related to it.
- Distribute roleplay cards to each student in which the role and situation are described:

Role 1: Manager
Role Description: You are a manager. A customer wants to complain about the service.
Provide the customer with information about the ways it can be solved.

Role 2: Customer
Role Description: You are a customer looking to complain about a service. You need to ask
about solutions, actions that are going to be taken and alternatives to avoid this from
happening again.

- Give students time to prepare for their roles.


- Have students engaged in the roleplay, taking turns playing their assigned roles.
- Encourage students to use new vocabulary.
- After the roleplay activity, bring the class together for a discussion. Give feedback.

COMMUNICATIVE Oral skills: Students will practise their speaking by participating in a roleplay scenery
SKILLS INTEGRATION where they complain about a bad service.
PEDAGOGICAL Students will be asked to perform a role to boost their speaking and listening skills.
