UPSIDE DOWN HOUSE IN
POLYANYTSYA
Upside Down House was built in
Polyanytsya village in Carpathians, just
on route to the popular Bukovel ski
resort. Upside Down House is inverted
not only outside but also inside - all
furniture is attached to the ceiling. This
is very popular tourist attraction of the
region.

Upside Down House has two floors

with an area of 85 square meters. On the first - utility room and restroom,
on the second - one big spacious room with large windows. The
construction of the house from laying of foundation till its opening took 1
month and 2 weeks.

This is very popular tourist attraction of the region. Every day

dozens of cars stopped here with the tourists to be photographed. Tourists
make unusual pictures - photographed touching furniture and then turned
over the photo 180 degrees - the result is an unusual effect of
weightlessness like a person easily hang in the air and only slightly based
on the leg of a chair or table.
I think people build houses like this because someone want to
express themselves. Sometimes because people want to get money, for
example when tourist want to see this house he must pay. Sometimes
from excess of creativity.
