4.0 Geometric Construction
Many of the constructions used in technical design drawings are based on plane
geometry, and every drafter, technician, or engineer should be sufficiently
familiar with them to be able to apply them to the solutions of problems. Pure
geometry problems may be solved only with the compass and a straightedge,
and in some cases these methods may be used to advantage in technical
drawing.
However, the drafter or designer has available T-square, triangles, dividers,
and other equipment, such as drafting machines, that in many cases can
yield accurate results more quickly by what we may term "preferred
methods."
Definition of Terms:
Angle formed by two intersecting lines
closed curve all points of which are the same distance from a point called the center.
Circle angles, it can be inscribed in or circumscribed around a circle and is called a
regular angles is always is 180°
Circumference refers to the circle or to the distance around the circle
Conic Sections curves produced by planes intersecting a right circular cone
Line has length without breadth
Point Represents a location in space or on a drawing, and has no width, height or depth line.

Polygons any plane bounded by straight lines, if a polygon has equal sides and equal polygon.
a plane figure bounded by four straight sides, if opposite sides are parallel
Quadrilateral

Straight Line the shortest distance between two pints

a plane figure bounded by three straight sides, and the sum of the interior
Triangle
termed as parallelogram
Objective:
To construct geometric shapes in different methods
Geometric Construction Instruction:
Divide the working space into four. Follow the instructions written on every box.
