of multiple scientific models for the purpose of decision making at all levels of
management. We have discussed seven Tool that specifically designed to solve problems
of management.
(1) Decision Matrix. It’s a simple table that evaluates options and judges them according
to ranking like a voting system that you personally weigh the criteria of each option
(2) Decision Tree. We usually use this when making a flow chart. It’s a process flow that
in a matter that any level of the organization could easily follow using visual diagram.
company. We used both PERT (Project Evaluation and Review Technique) and CPM
(Critical Path Method) in project management. These are common tools that divide
the activities as per function and responsibility that help in proper coordination of
work with the different teams involved in the project. It allows the project managers
(4) Mathematical Programming. This technique is probably the most accurate way of
making decisions because this uses numeric data as factors and identifying the answer
production schedule. You must identify factors like, the man-hour, machine operation,
(5) Marcov chains. I really have searched more about this method for me to understand
how it works. According to what I have read, the simplest example of Markov chain
is a board game played with dice. Like Snakes and Ladders. Your next step in the
game depends entirely on the dice. The current scenario or “number on the dice” will
(6) Simulation Model. In the industry, we use and call this mock-up model. We do this to
assess the quality of the unit and check possible problems that might be encountered
(7) Queuing Model. Examples of this model are waiting in line at a bank or a store,
waiting for a customer service representative to answer a call after the call has been
placed on hold and waiting for a train to come. Management can create more efficient
and cost-effective services and systems by studying the congestion and its causes of
the queues.
I think the queuing method is probably being used to solve our problem with the traffic.
If this doesn’t help, maybe they should look into other methods. Haha ^_^
