FABRICATION OF HYBRID BICYCLE

SYNOPSIS

This project is developed for the users to rotate the rear wheel of a bicycle using auto charge
motor. Usually in bicycles, chain and sprocket method is used to drive the rear wheel. But in
this project, an additional chain drive is attached to the rear wheel. When cycle is pedal
normally. The chain drive transmit the power to the rear wheel. Now another chain is gets rotate
and transmit the power to the DC electric motor and its generate the electric power. This electric
power stored in to the battery. When the battery is full now power is switched on. The DC
motor is gets power and rotate the rear wheel without man power. Thus the cycle works with
both power.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

This bicycle is drive by manual power working with normal pedaling method. The power is
transmitted by the chain drive system. In rear wheel of the cycle is already assembled with one
more chain drive system. This chain drive now transmit the mechanical energy to the DC
generator. This generator produce the electric power and save the battery. Now pedaling is
stopped and switch on the electric motor if that DC generator is give the mechanical power to the
real wheel. Thus the hybrid bicycle is gets run by both methods. This system save the manual
energy.

2. Both operation is performed by only one operation.
3. Size is compact therefore it require less space.
4. Time saving.
5. Long life power transition system.
