Clearing A Program Alarm
Power down the machine.
Power the machine back up with the electrical door open.
Press the green controls on button situated at the front of the machine.
Go back to the electrical cabinet. And follow the rest of the procedure.
1) Move the orange dip switch from the left to the right.
2) Press the black push button situated below the dip switches.
3) Move the orange dip switch back from the right to the left.
4) Press the SETTINGS softkey. On the C.R.T. screen Press in the
emergency stop button at this stage.
5) Cursor down to the parameter write enable (PWE)option.
6) Type in ‘1’ and then press enter.
7) Release E-stop and press green controls on button.
8) Press the red controls off button.
9) Power off the machine at the isolator.
10) Move the purple dip switch from the left to the right.
11) Switch on the machine at the isolator.
12) Press the green controls on button.
13) Move the purple dip switch back from the right to the left.
14) Repeat from procedure 1) to 5).
15) Type in ‘0’ and then press enter.
16) Press the red controls off button. Release emergency stop button.
17) Press the green controls on button.
18) Turn the machine on and off at least 4 times
After following the above procedure two sections of the Fanuc software need to
be reset in the following order:

a) Feed Rates :

You will see that no feed rate is shown on the screen.


E.g. F-
To recall the feed rates press the feed rate push button and the down
cursor push button. This will then recall the feed rates to the screen.

b) Max R.P.M / CSS :

The Fanuc software will not allow you to enter a max R.P.M value or
enter CSS at this time, to cure this follow this procedure.

• Change the headstock range from the top range to the middle range or open
and then close the end guard on the Alpha 330 +.
• Set speed pot to zero start spindle / wait.
• Gradually increase the spindle speed while repeatedly pressing the MAX
R.P.M push button, until a max R.P.M value is accepted by the control, This
may need to be repeated several times before being accepted.
