INT. SUV – NIGHT

PHONE CAMERA P.O.V

The four friends: front seats Roy and Akiko (driver
seat) with S.P. at the rear passenger seat.

They greet their "viewers" (OS).

ROY
Hola mga higala. Ako si Roy.

AKIKO
Ako si Akiko. Hello hello!

SNAKE
I’m Princess, Snake Princess.

ROY
Oi, saan ka Doy?

From the rear seat, Doy leans into the view.

ROY
(tears up) I have friends.

AKIKO
Ngayon kakaiba ang episode namin
kasi... Snake Princess?

The camera moves closer to Snake P incess.

SNAKE
Halloween... Special...!

ROY (OS)
Wow bagay na bagay.

AKIKO (OS)
Sa selebrasyon ng Undas, nagmisa na
tayo, binisita at pinagdasal ang ating
mga mahal sa buhay... na patay. Masaya
kung makakatuwaan na nakakanginiig
kasama ang pamilya at kaibigan. Ano,
saan ang gimik natin Roy?

ROY
Ang sagot ay ...

He holds up bloody invites to "KINATAY", a horror

immersion event.

ROY (CONT'D)
Sa Kinatay!

Back to Roy, the SUV interior gets dim. A flashlight

beams from under Roy’s face.

ROY (CONT'D)
Ang Kinatay ay isang pop-up theme
event kung saan ang mga sasali ay
kunwari mga kinidnap ng isang kulto at
dinala sa isang abatyor o katayan para
isakripisyo bilang alay sa sinasamba
ng kulto...

Roy turns to Espi who has the same ghostly light

effect improved by her eyeballs rolled white.

ROY (OS, CONT'D)

...na si Snake Princess.

Lights turn on, camera moves to Akiko who's reading

the invite.

AKIKO
Meron oras ibibigay sa mga dadalo para
hanapin ang eksit, kung nasa loob pa
sila na maubos a g oras, diyan
magsisimula ang HORROR! (frowns)
Parang hindi ko ito gusto.

Roy slides in with intention and charm.

ROY
Huwag kang matakot Akiko.
Hindi ka mag-iisa. Sasamahan kita.

He holds up her hands in his for reassurance.

“Roy Romantico mode" gets switched ON.

Espi slides into view. Puts her hands on top of

Roy’s and Akiko’s.

SNAKE
Ako rin.

DODOY
Present, at your service.
(clasps everyone’s hands)

Breaks the Roy Romantic mode.

AKIKO
Salamat girls! All together...

AKIKO, SNAKE, DODOY

Friends forever!

As the girls celebrate solidarity, Roy turns away to

window side, camera switches on him.

ROY
Friends forever. Huhuhu.

Akiko leans to his side. Close. Intimately close.

AKIKO
Roy...

Roy turns, surprised the closeness. Akiko reaches a

hand across Roy’s chest ...

Roy holds his breath. “Roy Romantico mode" gets

switched ON again.

Akiko pulls Roy’s seatbelt and clamps it down for him.

AKIKO
Seatbelt! to the back) Seatbelts!

Akiko starts the SUV, shift gears.

Roy watches her and then turns away to exhale.

LATER Different cameras (dashboard-cam) record the

(funny) activities of the driver and passengers on
their journey in fast motion a la time lapse.

FADE UP TITLE:
"ONE HOUR LATER"
AKIKO
...sigurado ka Roy na tama

Roy studies his smartphone, the "Kinatay" event

card/invite.

O, base sa mapa dito, sigurado(?)

He turns over his phone. Studies.

AKIKO
Tinatanong mo ako? Tinatanong
nga kita.

ROY
Patawad Akiko. Naubos na yata
aking mobile internet.

SNAKE
Gutom na ako. Uhaw na ako.

Dodoy holds up A HANDBAG.

DODOY
Ay Princess. Meron akong dalang
maiinum.

Unzips the handbag to reveal a large space full of a

variety of water bottles (Nature’s Spring).

ROY (OS)
Wow. Salamat sa sponsor.

Akiko leans forward, something (OS) catches her eye.

AKIKO
Meron tao sa daan. Tanungin natin.

Roy directs his phone camera through the windshield.

ON THE PHONE CAMERA

The road is long and dimly by moonlight. There stands
A LONE FIGURE, likely female, in a white dress and in
her hand, a white balloon.

ROY (OS)
Oh hindi, hindi.

Roy turns to Akiko.

ROY
Hindi. Huwag kang hihinto!

Akiko slows down.

AKIKO
Hiyain ka, ikaw?

She presses on the power window button panel as she

breaks to a stop.

Roy doesn’t realize that as the SUV brakes down to a

stop, his window slides down to reveal the Strange
Girl with the white balloon just outside his door(!)

Roy realizes and freezes.

AKIKO (OS)
Roy, tanungin mo, nandiyan siya oh.
Roy? Tanungin mo.

Roy shakes his head, no. He doesn’t want to face

whatever is outside his window.

DODOY (OS)
Excuse me, Princess.

From the rear-seat, Dodoy leans in forward.

DODOY
Ah miss, hello miss. Magandang gabi.
Pwede magtanong?

The Strange Girl steps closer to the open car window.

Then deliberately leans inside through the window.
Surprises everyone. Especially Roy.

DODOY
Ay! ... baka mahina ang pandinig.
(louder) Miss pwede magtanong, saan ba
itong lugar?

AKIKO (OS)
Roy ipakita mo iyun invite.

Roy raises the invite card, while he struggles with

not showing his tension.

The Strange Girl doesn't look. After a tense moment,

she slides out from the window.

ON THE ROAD, she stands up straight, balloon in hand

and then raises her hand with a directional gesture.

DODOY (OS)
Ah sige... salamat miss.

AKIKO (OS)
Maraming salamat!

The Glass Window climbs up, the SUV moves.

AKIKO
(to Roy) Okey ka? Mukhang
namumutla ka.

ROY
...ah, low blood sugar.

DODOY slides in with a handbag full of edibles.

DODOY
Roy oh eto.

ROY
Salamat... sa sponsor.

Dodoy smiles, happy. Dodoy Romantico mode triggered.

Roy takes a bite, oblivious of Dodoy’s Romantico mode.

SNAKE
Natakot ka Roy? "Weird" iyun babae.

ROY
Weird nga. Pero iyun nga, tama ang
direksyon ko. Parte siya sa event na
pupuntahan natin. Hindi ba, di ba?

SNAKE
... oy, ayun naman siya.

She points out the windshield.

THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD

The Strange Girl appears on the side of the road, with
the same balloon and guiding gesture.

THE ROAD A hundred meters onwards, the Strange Girl

stands there: same balloon, same pose.

AKIKO (OS)
...sige, nangangangilabot...

ROY (OS)
...relaks, parte lang ito sa
paggaganap. Mga aktors iyan.

SUDDENLY the Strange Girl appears in front of the

moving SUV.

Brakes. Sudden stop. A LOUD, AGONIZING THUD (OS).

Everyone inside gets startled and stunned.

ROY
Akiko okay ka?

AKIKO
Roy, nasagaan ko siya!

Roy gets out of the SUV. Checks the road, in the front
and back of the SUV.

Goes down underside of the SUV.

NOTHING. NO ONE.

Roy turns back to Akiko.

AKIKO
Ano?!

ROY (OS)
Wala, wala!

AKIKO
Anong wala. Eh ano iyon...

She stops, and looks at something behind Roy.

ROY startled, turns around.

ROY (OS)
Anong tinitingnan mo!

A ROOF OF A BUILDING/FACTORY CAN BE SEEN.

DODOY (OS)
Parang nandito na tayo.

SNAKE (OS)
Ay salamat...

The two get out of the rear.

SNAKE (CONT'D)
Nababagot na ako.

AKIKO
Roy, ayan na ba?

ROY (OS)
Ah tingnan lang natin.

AKIKO
Sige ipapark ko lang ito.

ROY (OS)
Hintay. Meron akong kukunin sa likod.

Roy goes to the rear door of the vehicle and opens.

Looks down at TWO SETS OF ITEMS: action cams, gimbals.

ROY (OS)
Salamat sa sponsor!

EXT. WAY/PATH - NIGHT

The friends step onto a path, they appear winded.

They have walked some distance. In high heels, Snake
is not in good humor.

SNAKE
Malayo pa ba?

They look around for a sign.

DODOY
Mukha ito na ang pasukan.

Points to a wire gate. A tied WHITE BALLOON sways in

the wind.

Walls darker than night, some wall faces are marked by

STRANGE SIGILS IN WHITE CHALK, to be revealed as ST.
BENEDICT'S MEDALLION, STAR OF DAVID, and other
protective talismans.

The friends group together for a camera intro.

AKIKO
Hay mga amiga and welcome to

ALL
Medyo Maldito and Friends…!

ROY
...Halloween Special!

ROY (CONT'D)
Ano, sa wakas nakaabot na kami dito sa
KINATAY event at ipakita namin sa
inyo...

Roy’s camera swerves around the surroundings, dim and

dreadful, like they're in the middle of nowhere.

ROY (CONT'D)
Mukhang legit di ba? Makapaniwala
talaga na lugar ito sa kulto.
Ano, papasok na kami. Sana maganda
ang event.

Doy hands out flashlights from his shoulder bag.

DOY
Safety is the best policy.

ROY
Talo mo ang Scout Federation ng
Pilipinas Doy. Iyun mga camera natin
pala meron night vision!

Roy switches his camera's NIGHT VISION.

Everything becomes bright green.Even Snake Princess as

she comes close. She startles Roy!

INT. ENTRANCE WAY – NIGHT

Beams of light guide the group into the silent

darkness.

AKIKO (OS)
Nasaan kaya ang mga tao? Wala bang
greeter?

ROY (OS)
Walang ganyan para hindi masira ang
pagkatotoo sa experience. Tawag dito
ay Augmented Reality.
(pauses) Meron liwanag doon.

INT. DARK CAVERN.

They arrive into a larger, cavernous area sufficiently

lit by primitive, burning torches or lamps.

The whole area gets casted by a faint, yellow light.

The torches are strategically placed around a huge

central, circular sigil drawn/marked on the ground:
ST. BENEDICT'S MEDALLION.

So large is the sigil that the four adult friends are

at the center.

AKIKO
Ano ito?

Snake gets startled when she steps on something that

cracks. Cracks again.

They look down. Broken pieces of a large pot or vase.

ROY
Ano kaya ito?

A GROAN (OS) grab their attention. The groan echoes

(OS.) They search for the source, while they huddle.

SNAKE
Roy...

ROY
Ayos talaga. Nginiig!

Their flashlights' beams converge on a prone figure on

the ground some feet away.

AKIKO
Bangkay ba iyan?

SNAKE
Tingnan mo Roy, dali.

ROY
Ha bakit ako?

AKIKO
Ikaw ang lalaki!

Roy looks at Doy and Snake.

ROY (CONT'D)
Ha, eh ano sila?

AKIKO
Ikaw ang lalaki na lalaki!

The girls push Roy forward, out of the circular sigil.

Roy reluctantly approach the prone figure. His camera

confirms that the figure on the ground is A WOMAN,
with bleeding injuries

ROY
Meron tao dito. Hindi manakin.

AKIKO (OS)
Buhay ba siya?

ROY
Oo, buhay siya. Umaarte lang ito.

The woman grabs Roy by the wrist!

ROY (CONT'D)
Kita niyo?!

WOMAN/ALEGRIA
...umalis na kayo.

She faints.

ROY
Wow ang galing po. Magaling siya.

The others join Roy. They check the 'unconscious’

woman. Akiko suddenly gets concerned and inspects the
woman's injuries closely.

AKIKO
Doy, meron kang first aid kit?

DOY
Meron Miss Akiko.

Looks deep into her shoulder bag, takes out a first

aid box.

ROY
Anong ginagawa mo, Akiko?

AKIKO
Hindi ito makeup Roy. Totoo ang mga
sugat at pasa niya. Nagresearch ako sa
pagiging nars para sa isang role, at I
know my makeup Hindi ito makeup.

SOON they clean and wrap the woman's wounds in

bandages. She’s truly bsnged up, bitten even.
She soon regains her consciousness.

She whispers. Doy listens closely.

DOY
Ang pangalan niya ay Alegria.
Tinatanong niya kung sino tayo.

ROY
Manang, hindi ba ito ang Kinatay na
event?

He shows Alegria the event card. She shakes her head,

no. She whispers and Doy listens closer again.

DOY
Sabi niya nasa panganib tayo.
Kailangan natin umalis.

AKIKO
Malalim ang mga sugat niya.
Dalhin natin siya sa ospital.

ROY
Okay lang siya igalaw? Baka mas
mabuti tumawag ng ambulansya?

Everyone checks their phones. All their phones.

Doy carries several models, including a hand-held
radio. NO SIGNALS on all networks.
Only static on the radio.

ROY
Ano-ba-naman, patapos na ang 21st
Century at walang gamit mga devices
natin?

AKIKO
Lalabas ako para maghanap ng tulog.

ROY
Samahan kita.

AKIKO
Eh paano sina Espi at Doy.

ROY
Babae na babae ka! Hindi ka dapat
mag-isa.

Akiko already moves to the entrance. Roy follows her.

AKIKO
Magiging okey ako Roy. Dito ka lang,
bantayan mo sila.

A LOUD GROWL, devilish in nature, echoes from the

shadows. Scares Akiko to seek Roy’s back.

AKIKO (OS)
Tingnan mo kung ano iyon Roy.

Roy cautiously heads to the shadowy entrance.

He stops.

ROY
Doy, meron kang baril diyan?
O kaya bazooka?

DOY (OS)
Sori ser. Wala akong lisensya para
doon.

ROY
Machete? Katana?

DOY (OS)
Ay, delikado! Not safe! Mabubutas ang
bag ko.

Roy shrugs, yeah makes sense. He moves ahead and

disappears into the path

Roy makes a shout (OS!). The girls scream, concerned.

SNAKE
ROY!

AKIKO
Roy...! ROY?!

ROY (OS)
...okay ako!

AKIKO
...eh bakit ka sumigaw?
Ginulat mo kami!

ROY (OS)
Sori nagulat din ako.

AKIKO
Bakit?

INT. ENTRANCE WAY – NIGHT

Roy stares at something he can't believe to be true.

The entrance where they’ve just came in, it’s GONE.

It’s barricaded. No way out.

He takes A SNAPSHOT with his phone.

INT. THE DARK CAVERN

Roy shows everyone the photo of the disappeared

entrance/exit.

AKIKO
Paano ito nangyari?

ROY
Anong gagawin natin ngayon?

AKIKO
Kailangan natin maghanap ng lagusan.

Alegria stirs. Dodoy listens and nods. Doy takes out

of his bag a THERMOS. Pours out some warm water for
her to drink.

ALEGRIA
Salamat.

AKIKO
Manang, sino kayo at anong nangyayari?

ALEGRIA
Ako ay isang mananambal. Tumutulong
ako sa isang pamilya na ginagambala ng
isang sumpa. Nandito ako para iba-on
at ipatago ang sumpa.

ROY
Sumpa...anong sumpa?

ALEGRIA
(points) Doon ang mga nawasak na
kalalagyan ng sumpa. Hindi siya
magpapaba-on sa kalalimanan.

AKIKO
Sino siya?

ALEGRIA
Ang sumpa. ANG SIGBIN.
Poot malisya.
(pauses,
gets frightened)
Parating na siya.
Dali! Sa gitna ng talisman! Dali!

A CRY OF A WILD ANIMAL devilishly distorted; a cry

from Hell (OS), scares them.

Roy and Doy help Alegria onto her feet, and they bring
her to the center of the medallion circle.

ALEGRIA (CONT’D)
Ligtas tayo dito. Hindi siya makapasok
sa talisman. Pero paano tayo tatagal.
Nasa panganib tayong lahat.

DOY
Huwag kang mag-alala, manang Alegria.
Manalig tayo.

Alegria suddenly becomes calm, and gives Doy a

considerate look.

ROY
Meron bang ibang lagusan?

ALEGRIA
Patawad. Nawala ang mga lagusan dahil
sa mga agimat tinayo ko laban sa
sigbin. Dapat hindi makalaya ang
sigbin.

AKIKO
Ano ang dapit natin gawin?

ALEGRIA
Ang palayok, ang kalalagyan ng sigbin.
Nawasak, pero kung pwede natin ibalik
o kaya...

ROY
Meron kang pandikit diyan sa
bag mo Doy?

Doy rummages into his shoulder bag. A moment.

DOY
Ay sori ser Roy wala. Epoxy lang.

Roy looks at the camera.

They gather the broken pieces of the pottery;

marked with sacred alibata and Catholic iconography.
They put everthing together with Doy’s adhesives.

And form A URN. Looks solid.

AKIKO
Parang hindi ito kumpleto.
Anong nawawala?

ALEGRIA
Ang takip niya. Dinala yata sa sigbin.
Kung wala ito, hindi natin mahuhuli
ang sigbin.

ROY
Ano, hahanapin natin ang sigbin para
makuha ang takip para mahuhuli ang
sigbin. Okey.

ALEGRIA
Mag ingat kayo. Ayon sa mga alamat ang
sigbin ay kumain ng mga puso ng tao.
Pero ang katotohanan ay ang sigbin ay
na nabubuhay sa pananakot.

The friends look at each other.

ALEGRIA (CONT’D)
Tatakutin kayo, hanggang lalamig ang
iyong dugo. At kung hindi na kayo
makagalaw sa sobrang sindak, ang
sigbin ay...

She looks down at her injuries and wounds.

Still bleeding heavily through the bandages.
Alegria nearly faints from blood loss.

The friends are scared for her.

AKIKO
Kailangan niya ng tulong medikal.
Mamatay siya.

ROY
Paano namin makilala ang takip?

ALEGRIA
...Nakaukit sa takip ...ang signos ni
...San Bernado.

ROY
...Sige. Signos. San Bernado?

Alegria motions to the talisman that surrounds them

and protects them.

AKIKO
Sasamahan kita Roy. Mas madali kung
dalawang pares ng mata sa paghahanap.

Roy looks at Akiko, touched by her concern. Roy

Romantico switches on, but gets interrupted. Abruptly.

AKIKO
Huy! Hoy Roy! Ano ka?

ROY
Oo. Sori. Salamat pala.

SNAKE
Tatlong pares. I can see in the dark.

DOY
Babantayan ko si Manang.

ROY
Sampung minuto. Babalik kami.
(to Espi, Akiko) Tara sama-sama.

ALEGRIA
Hintay. Sasapian kayo ng sigbin gamit
ang takot niyo bilang kahinaan.
Iyon ang pagkamali ko. Huwag kayong
matakot. Manalig kayo. (fades out)

ROY
Okey. Sama-sama. Tara.

The three leave into the dark.

INT. THE DARK PATH/WAY

Roy, Akiko and Snake move in a huddle, close together.

The girls' hands on Roy's arms.

Their flashlights scan the darkness and reveal scary

shadowshapes as useless junk like AN EMPTY WHEELCHAIR;
A RUNDOWN, SOILED, BROKEN BED; AND A RUSTY CAGE.

Pretending calm, Roy calms the girls' shivers.

ROY
Huwag kayong matakot, basta sama-sama
tayo, okey tayo.

Roy turns to Akiko and Snake behind him.

Akiko turns to him.

AKIKO
Roy?

Snake looks at both...

SNAKE
Roy? Roy? Akiko? Saan kayo pumunta?
Inidyan niyo naman ako!

Before Snake, Akiko and Roy are gone!

BACK TO AKIKO, she realizes she’s alone.

AKIKO
Roy? Espi? Hello? Saan kayo?!

Only darkness and echoes answer her.

BACK AT ROY, he turns around to check on the girls

only to get startled by their disappearance.

ROY
Akiko?! Snake?! Nag-CR kayo?!

He spins on his heel, he searches the darkness.

Panic in his voice.

ROY (CONT'D)
Akiko?! Snake?! Hoy!

He turns behind him, to find the backs of Akiko and

Snake. Roy sounds relieved.

ROY (CONT'D)
Aki! Snake! Hoy!

The 'girls' twist toward Roy, their features blanketed

in shadows but their eyes glow a cold light.

ROY (CONT'D)
Uh girls? Ano iyan hawak niyo?

In their hands they hold and raise up ROY'S REAL-LIFE

FEAR. They approach him like marionettes on barb-wire.

ROY screams, grows high-pitched (OS).

ON AKIKO, she cries... cold tears down her face frozen

in a grimace.

Akiko cowers down in a crouch as she's being

approached on both sides by shadow 'Roy' and shadow
'Snake', in their hands they threaten with Akiko's
real-life fear.

Akiko cries (OS).

ON SNAKE, she struggles to be brave as shadow 'Roy'

and shadow 'Akiko' move toward her, bearing Snake
Princess' REAL-LIFE FEAR.

SNAKE
Huwag kayong lumapit. Susuntukan ko
kayo! Bakit niyo ito ginagawa!
Akiko! Roy!

Snake attempts to defend herself. She takes off

her high-heeled and heavy shoe and throws it.

The shoe hits Shadow 'Roy' but no effect.

Shadow 'Roy' just comes closer and closer.

BACK AT ROY

He flees, always frightfully looks back to see if the

nightmares have followed.

He bumps into something hard. A large edge that hits

him where it hurts – his groin – he almost falls face
first on a table surface...

... where only inches away from his face, he finds A

JAR STOPPER MARKED WITH ST. BENEDICT’S MEDALLION.

Roy looks at it curiously then picks it up... only to

have a SHADOW HAND reach out from under the stopper
and plant its black palm onto Roy's face!

Roy’s eyes fill with darkness.

INT. THE DARK CAVERN

Dodoy checks time.

ALEGRIA (OS)
Nag-alala ka sa mga kaibigan mo.

Dodoy and Alegria look at each other.

ALEGRIA (CONT'D)
Kailangan ka nila. Kailangan nila
ang tulong mo.

Alegria raises a hand to stop Doy's objection.

ALEGRIA (CONT'D)
Kailangan ka nila. Sige na.

Doy nods.

ALEGRIA (CONT'D)
Hintay. Dalhin mo ito.

She gives him A SMALL VIAL OF WATER, glows softly like

a star in the night sky.

DOY
Ano ito manang?

ALEGRIA
Banal na tubig mula sa mga sagradong
bukal, binasbas sa pasko ng
Pagkabuhay. Makakatulong iyan sa iyo.
Alam mo na kung paano iyan...

DOY
Paano?

But Alegria becomes quiet. Unconscious.

Doy makes sure Alegria is comfortable, and secure.

Looks at the given bottle.

DOY
Salamat po manang Alegria.

Doy looks on with determination.

INT. THE DARK PATH/WAY

Snake inches in the darkness, moves her light side to

side as she seeks for the sight of her friends.

SNAKE
Hello Roy! Akiko?! Saan na kayo?
Kung nakakachula-chula kayo, lagot

She makes a turn, unaware of the two shadows 'Roy' and

'Akiko' are right behind her, move close as they hold
Snake's real-life fear!

Snake senses them approach turns and screams.

She flees the spot only to bump into Dodoy, sees her
and screams. Dodoy gets startled and screams.

They become calmer as they recognize each other. They

embrace, but continue to communicate via their screams
and cries.

Snake points at the shadows Roy and Akiko who run at

them with supernatural speed and uncanny motion, while
they hold up Snake’s and Dodoy’s fears!

Snake and Dodoy scream again and flee from the spot,
only to immediately hit a wall(!)

Trapped, the two can only turn to face the nightmarish

versions of Roy and Akiko!

Snake cries and cowers down.

SNAKE
Roy, bakit Roy! Huwag Roy!

Dodoy shields Snake and remembrance registers on her

face when she reaches into her bag and pulls out a
variety of items, until she pulls out the Bottle of
Sacred Water!

Its light surprises the nightmares Roy and Akiko to a

stop! Dodoy uncorks the bottle and throws out the
water at them.

The nightmares start to move towards Dodoy and Snake.

The water has no effect!

Puzzled Dodoy continues to splash them. But screams as

they move closer and closer to bear down on Dodoy’s
his greatest phobia!

Then Dodoy realizes...

ALEGRIA (OS)
Alam mo kung paano iyan... gagamitin.
Ang wastong gamit ng banal na tubig.

Dodoy looks at the special vial, at the liquid left

and then... she gulps it all down.

DODOY
DODOY!

Then she twirls around and gets enveloped in a bright

rainbow of beaming light, that becomes a glowing armor
of color!

Snake Princess becomes amazed at the sight.

SNAKE
Ako rin! Sa kapangyarihan ng
kagandahan, AKO. SI. SNAKE. PRINCESS!

She twirls around, does a little dance, but no effect.

SNAKE PRINCESS (CONT'D)

Ay...!

DODOY
Huwag kang malungkot S.P, at dapat
hindi ka matakot. Hindi iyan mga
kaibigan natin!

Dodoy proves it by bust a move on the Nightmares Roy

and Akiko who turns into particles of
darkness/shadowsmoke and disappear into the gloom.

DODOY (CONT’D)
Dali Snake! Tulungan natin sina Roy
and Akiko!

Dodoy and Snake hold hands and skip to the rescue!

ANOTHER DARK PATH - AKIKO

Akiko lies strapped to a rusty chair as Nightmare Roy

and Snake torture her with Akiko’s greatest fear.
Akiko cries!

Then she hears something, a rhythmic beat that’s made

of dancing feet and frenzied breath! Before Akiko’s
eyes she sees Doy dance to an unheard music.

And the sight of Dodoy makes Akiko’s smile in spite of

her paralysis and when Akiko smiles, a song gets borne
in her voice.

She sings to the sight of Dodoy’s beautiful dance.

Nothing bounds her to the chair. Akiko rises in song.
And her angelic voice makes the Nightmares Roy and
Snake cower and disperse into shadow-smoke.

ANOTHER DARK PATH – ROY

In a fetal position, Roy shivers in the cold darkness,

alone. He talks shallow breathes as if his fear chokes
him from the inside.

His eyes are shut tight in fear.

FEMALE VOICE (OS

Roy... Roy...! Roy...!

Roy pries his eyes open.

A BLUR approaches him. He shuns it away, afraid as if

it's another Nightmare to torment.

FEMALE VOICE (OS)

Roy, huwag kang matakot.

A hand reaches down to clasp his. Tight, and warm with

reassurance.

FEMALE VOICE (OS, CONTINUES)

Hindi kita iiwanan. Kailan man.

Roy opens his eyes wider.

The blur focuses... it's SNAKE who looks at him with

eyes full of love...

... that frightens Roy awake! And he moves away only

to bump into Akiko, who holds him tight. VERY TIGHT.

AKIKO
Roy!

Snake and Dodoy embrace Roy tightly too.

And Roy realizes with relief, HE IS NOT ALONE.

He holds them tight back then looks at each one's

happy face. Doubles-take at Dodoy’s amazing get-up.

ROY
Wow Dodoy!

AKIKO
Roy, ano iyan?

Roy holds up the stopper in his hand.

He suddenly looks serious.

ROY
Ang patapos sa bangungot!

INT. THE DARK CAVERN

The friends return. Akiko and Dodoy check up on

Alegria, while Roy and Snake gather as many of the
broken pieces of the jar they can find.

AKIKO
Mahina ang pulso niya, nanglalamig
na siya!

DODOY
Manang Alegria Alegria!

Manang Alegria's eyes flutter weakly.

ROY
Doy, ang epoxy!

Doy comes over and throws Roy the tube of adhesive and
helps out to bring the pieces together as fast as they
can. In a matter of moments, the friends have reformed
the sigbin's jar, it's prison.

A LOUD ECHO ROARS OUT OF THE DARKNESS. It stops

everyone to a fright.

They turn to the direction they know it comes!

Akiko turns, she hears Alegria whisper something to

her. She leans closer.

ALEGRIA
Dasal... mag dasal kayo...
O aking Diyos na dakila; sa iyo ko
ilalagak, pag-asa ko at tiwala.

AKIKO (ECHOES LOUDER)

O aking Diyos na dakila; sa iyo ko
ilalagak, pag-asa ko at tiwala.
Ang Diyos ay para sa akin. Ilalayo
niya ako sa kawalan ng dilim para
maging buhay na liwanag

Alegria wakes and with Akiko’s help joins the others

and puts their hands around the jar as if in prayer.

A HIDEOUS AND EAR-SHATTERING CRY threatens to silence

them. But they persists.

ALL
O aking Diyos na dakila; sa iyo ko
ilalagak, pag-asa ko at tiwala.
Ang Diyos ay para sa akin. Ilalayo
niya ako sa kawalan ng dilim para
maging buhay na liwanag

The Jar’s cracks burn with golden light like daylight

until the entire jar beneath their hands shines.

The cry stops. The light dims. And the friends look
around and find themselves in an abandoned warehouse,
but daylight streams.

They all get up, as if they woke up from a nightmare.

Alegria holds up the SIGBIN’S JAR, whole and complete,

stopper and all. It looks a master's work of art.

ALEGRIA
Maraming salamat sa tulong niyo. Ang
mga gawain ng Diyos ay misteryoso at
makatarungan. Ramdam ko ang grasya
niya sa pagdating niyo sa aking
pangangailangan. Halika kayo ituturo
ko ang daan pauwi.

She tilts back, almost falls if not saved by others.

ALEGRIA (CONT’D)
Pero idadala niyo ako sa ospital muna?

Everyone nods and sounds off reassurance. They turn

together to leave.

SNAKE
Hintay muna, mag groufie tayo!

ROY
Tama! Pang remembrance sa kakaibang
gabing ito.

Roy sets up his phone’s camera. They group and smile

together for a groupfie.

ROY
Say SIGBIN!

ALL
SIGBIN!

The photo gets taken, and reveal that there’s another

ghostly figure with them: THE GIRL WITH THE WHITE
BALLOON(!)

ROY (OS)
Argh! Meron nag photo-bomber!
