Doge

Materials: Light brown and white medium weight yarn (4), tapestry needle, black
thread, embroidery or sewing needle, white and black felt, polyester fill for
stuffing.
Hook size: E/3.5mm
Index: Sc= single crochet. Rnd= round. St= stitch. Inc=increase. Dec= decrease.
Ch= chain.

For colour changing between light brown and white, because it is only for a few
stitches, you can leave the colour you do not need and pick it up again. This will
remain hidden inside work. (see image below of the body)

Head
Rnd 1: With light brown yarn start 6 sc in magic ring, or ch 6 and join [6]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [12]
Rnd 3: (inc in next st, sc in next st) repeat around [18]
Rnd 4: (inc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) repeat around [24]
Rnd 5: (inc in next st, sc in next 3 sts) repeat around [30]
Rnd 6-7: sc in all sts [30]
Rnd 8: Sc in next 12 sts, change to white yarn and sc in next 3 st, change to
brown and sc in next 3 sts, change to white and sc in next 3 sts, change to brown
and sc in each st until end of round. [30]
Rnd 9: Sc in next 11 sts, change to white yarn and sc in next 5 sts, change back to
brown and sc in next st, change to white and sc in next 5 sts, change to brown and
sc in each st until end of round. [30]
Rnd 10-11: In white yarn sc in all sts. [30]
Rnd 12: (dec, sc in next 3) repeat around [24]
Rnd 13: (dec, sc in next 2) repeat around [18]
Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.

Muzzle
Rnd 1: With white yarn start 6 sc in magic ring, or ch 6 and join [6]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [12]
Rnd 3: Sc in next 2 st, change to light brown yarn and sc in next 2 sts, change to
white and sc in next 8 sts [12]
Rnd 4: In white sc in next st, change to light brown and sc in next 4 sts, change to
white and sc in next 7 sts. [12]
Rnd 5: In light brown sc in next 6 sts, change to white and sc in next 6 sts [12]
Fasten off and leave a tail in each colour for sewing. Embroider nose and mouth
with black yarn or thread. You can also use felt for the nose.

Ears (make 2)
1: ch 2
2: sc 3 in 2nd ch from hook [3]
Rnd 3: inc in each st [6]
Rnd 4: (inc 1, sc in next st) repeat around [9]
Rnd 5: sc in each st [9]
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Stuff and sew ears to top of the head, slightly to the side. Attach muzzle so the
light brown and white sections line up with the light brown and white on the head.
(brown on top, white on bottom).

Body
Rnd 1: With light brown yarn start 6 sc in magic ring, or ch 6 and join [6]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [12]
Rnd 3: (inc in next st, sc in next st) repeat around [18]
Rnd 4: (inc in next st, sc in next 2 st) repeat around [24]
Rnd 5-20: in light brown yarn sc in next 3 st, change to white and sc in next 6 st
in back loops only*, change to brown and sc in booth loops (normal stitch) in next
15 st. [24] Stuff the body. *this will help keep the white section straight.

Rnd 21: (dec, sc in next 3) [24]


Rnd 22: (dec, sc in next 2) [18]
Rnd 23: (dec, sc in next 1) [12]
Rnd 24: Dec around [6]
Fasten off and sew remaining st together.

Front Legs (make 2)


Rnd 1: With white yarn start 4 sc in magic ring, or ch 4 and join [4]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [8]
Rnd 3-4: Sc in each st [8]
Rnd 5-13: Change to brown and sc in each st [8]
Fasten off, stuff, and leave tail for sewing

Back legs part 1 (make 2)


Rnd 1: With white yarn start 4 sc in magic ring, or ch 4 and join [4]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [8]
Rnd 3-4: Sc in each st [8]
Rnd 5-8: Change to light brown and sc in each st [8]
Fasten off, stuff, and leave tail for sewing

Back legs part 2 (make 2)


Rnd 1: With light brown yarn start 6 sc in magic ring, or ch 6 and join [6]
Rnd 2: inc in each st [12]
Rnd 3: (inc in next st, sc in next st) repeat around [18]
Rnd 4: Sc in each st [18]

Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.


Tail
1: ch 2
2: sc 3 in 2nd ch from hook, join. [3]
Rnd 3: inc in each st [6]
Rnd 4: (inc in next st, sc in next) repeat around [9]
Rnd 5-13: Sc in each st. [9]

Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.


Attach 2nd part of back legs (the circle) to the back end of the body, and lightly
stuff. Attach the 1st part of the back leg to the circle. Attach front legs and sew the
paws together, one of top of the other so it looks like he is crossing his paws. (The
right paw facing you should be on top). Roll about half the tail up and sew to keep
it in this shape. Attach the tail to the back. Attach stuffed head.

Eyes
Cut a small circle out of white felt and a smaller circle out of black felt. Create a
thin black border around the white circle by embroidering around the edge. Glue
(with fabric glue) or sew the black circle in the corner of the white.
