There are some parts in the LISTENING section which are supporting the role of the listening itself, such as : conversation in context, language function and drilling. Define each of them !
GENERAL OVERVIEW
this listening section consists of training in listening for meaning task - based listening activities are provided for the use in conjunction with recorded materials and thus provide an extension work for using in the language laboratory or class room

asking about other people asking for clarification finding out someones: nationality, occupation, address & telephone # asking and telling about someones family

(III) HOW MUCH IS IT ? - - - > language function : asking and telling about price BARGAINING (asking for a lower price) talking about how we buy things
(IV) WHERE ARE YOU FROM ? - - - > language function : talking about : places, features of a city, weather describing owns (someones) town or city
(V) WHAT TIME IS IT ? - - - > language function: asking and telling about TIME talking about public (national) holidays talking about frequency (something which is done more than one time) asking for flight information and office hours
(VI) WHAT DO YOU DO ? - - - > language function: talking about spare time and hobbies asking and telling about timetable or schedule describing DAILY activity (related to the time)
(VII-A) COULD YOU TELL ME THE WAY ... ? - - > language function :
asking for directions describing a LOCATION (e.g. Bank, Dept. Store, Station, etc) and a specific space (outside and inside)
(VII-B) HOW DO I GET THERE PLEASE ... ? - - > language function : asking of HOW to get somewhere by public transport giving instruction about DESTINATION
(VIII) CAN YOU DESCRIBE IT ? - - - > language function : talking about things distinguishing between things - according to shape, size, colour, etc comparing things
