Dear MOHD IRFAN

Reference is being made to your application dated Sep 2021, submitted under the Single Permit procedure, as provided for in
Subsidiary Legislation 217.17 of the Laws of Malta by holder of passport number: N 0314179, which request is being granted, in
principle.

have your biometric data and photo taken. This procedure must be carried out within 90 days and failure to do so would nullify
the contents of this letter.

Should you need to cancel this appointment, please do so within three (3) days before the appointment date. Failure to attend an
appointment can result in nullification of application and incur additional charges.

When you come to Identity Malta Agency for your appointment, it is important to bring with you:

 Jobsplus Termination of Employment Acknowledgement letter


 Health Screening – guidance regarding documentation to be submitted in this respect can be accessed through
Identity Malta’s website.
Note: If change of employer is within 6 months from Work Permit approval, there is no need to reapply for health
screening. If change of employer takes place after 6 months from Work Permit approval, the applicant needs
If the applicant will be working within the catering industry or security sector, these additional documents should be
submitted upon submission.

specified in your permit.

Single Permit

The Single Permit authorises holders to legally reside & work in Malta for a defined period, which may be further renewed.
In accordance with Subsidiary Legislation 217.17, third-country nationals may submit an application whilst either still-abroad or
legally staying in Maltese territory.

Renewal

Applicants may proceed with their application for a renewal of the permit 90 days prior to the date of its expiry. It is to be
emphasised that renewal of applications may only be submitted whilst their current permit is still valid.

Change in Employer

During the validity period of a work/residence permit applications for a change of employer shall not be accepted unless they
are submitted two months prior to the expiry date of the validity of the said permit.

Change in Address

Residence Card holders who change their residential address must register their new address within one (1) week. An
application fee of €27.50 applies. The following document must be presented:

i. Application Form for Change in Address, Lost, Stolen, Damaged Card or Other Changes –
Filled in BLOCK LETTERS.
ii. Copy of the existing Residence Card
iii. Copy of the new property’s purchase or rental agreement.

Failure to notify Identity Malta of a change in address may result in the revocation of the residence permit.

Lost/Stolen Residence Card

Residence Card holders who lose their Residence card must inform Identity Malta within three (3) days. An application fee of
€27.50 applies. The following document must be presented:

i. Application Form for Change in Address, Lost, Stolen, Damaged Card or Other Changes – filled in BLOCK LETTERS.
ii. provide a valid local Police report

Failure to notify Identity Malta of a lost/stolen card may result in the revocation of the residence permit.

Termination

The single permit’s validity depends on the conditions laid when the permit was originally issued, including the specific
employment undertaken. Consequently, the permit will no longer be valid should the applicant change employment.

In the eventuality of a job termination, the employer must submit a Termination Form to Jobsplus within four (4) days of the
termination date (as per Legal Notice 426/12).An e-mail must be sent to Identity Malta Agency
