There are multiple ways of cooking food to produce the quality that you desire.

Different techniques of
cooking are used to let the food cook but vary on the result. Some may retain its nutrients, flavor, color,
and appearance and some may not. It is essential to be familiar with these cooking methods to get what
you really want in the food outcome.

Every time that I cooked, I make sure that I use the right cooking method for each ingredient because it
enhances the overall quality of the meal. It also preserves as many nutritional benefits as possible. The
correct cooking method efficiently prepares the food, like when I make siomai. I prefer to use the moist
heat method, particularly steaming because I want it to be healthier, softer, and juicier. Steaming is also
the easiest way of cooking based on my experience.

One must possess the right skill in cooking especially when applying each method to make the food at its
best. Generally, there are no perfect ways of cooking but choose the right method to get the most of the
nutritional value of the food. Being knowledgeable on how to cook your food will help you achieve
consistency and flavor. Thus understanding and mastering different kinds of cooking are essential to
becoming a great chef.
