DB-25 Pin 8 Input Modulation Connection Change in F5061/F6061

Affected Products: F6061/F5061 Series Mobile Radios
In earlier versions of the F5061/F6061 radios, connecting to pin 8 of the DB 25 pin connector, along with
soldering Bead N, allowed a modulated input into the radio. Due to circuitry changes, new radios (after
the serial numbers listed below) require bead N to be soldered, along with cutting Bead T, to allow input
modulation to pass.

Application
This mod is only required if the dealer is applying input modulation into the DB-25 connector of the
radio for addition of 3rd party products to the radio.

Location of Bead T on F6061 and F5061

Bead T is located on the top side of the Main PCB. The following shows the F6061 main PCB. The
location of the T bead for the F5061 Main is identical.
