1. Present your analysis of the visions and missions of Arellano University and the Graduate School of
Education in terms of :
a. congruency ;
b. relevance to present time ;
c. responsiveness to the needs situation ;
d. specificity.
2. State the three modes/ types of philosophy according to functions. Differentiate one from the
other. How can each mode / type can practically apply in your workplace. Cite specific example for
each.
3. Epistemology is the philosophical study of the nature, origin and limits of human knowledge. What
makes knowing systematic and non – systematic?
4. Explain the importance of philosophy of education for you, as a student, and as a professional?
5. What makes moral values absolute or relative ? Explain.

Vision and Mission of Graduate School of Education

Vision ; To be a model institution in the field of higher education , and thus make a significant
contribution for elevating the quality of learning in the country towards global standards.

Mission : To provide equitable access to education that provide relevant knowledge and skills to
industry, society and global community through various learning approaches in graduate education
at par with global standards.
