Course Description:
Provides the students with fundamental knowledge, understanding and skills in the correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, portable power
tools,and special tools to carry out fabrications, maintenance, and repair works onboard ship.

Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, students should be able to:

CO1. Demonstrate the safe and appropriate use of hand and power tools and measuring instruments in accordance with accepted practice.

CO2. Demonstrate the safe and appropriate use of specialized tools and measuring instruments being used for the maintenance and repair of shipboard
machinery and equipment in accordance with accepted practice
