Software Engineering

o Today we will talk about software engineering.

o I will not talk about software engineering as you imagine, definitions,
algorithms, modeling, requirements, or coding. No.
o I will tell you about my little experience in this field and try to simplify this
for you.
o At the beginning, the aim of my standing here now is to enhance my

o I will try to speak in a simple way, English is easy, we may not be required
from us to make much effort if we can give the idea in an easy way.
o Software engineering is one of the branches of information technology (IT),
so if I said (IT) in advance I will think it will be understandable for all.
o Today, IT has become involved in all aspects of our live sides, from
calculator to do a complex operations.
o We have become obligated to adapt and follow up about everything new in
this science.
o In the previous lecture, we saw how our colleague Ahmed how IT helped
him in marketing. He now sells products in USA and gets profits while he is
here, in Jordan, in Irbid, you are amazing Ahmed, ……………………. Keep going.
o What I wanted from this presentation is to give you a summary of IT majors
like Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), Software
Engineering, Cybersecurity., Data Science and Analytics, Computer
Engineering, Networking and IT Management, Web Development, Game
Development, and many disciplines.
o Now, countries such as Canada and USA started making branches more
specific. For example, web engineering did not exist before, and now we
started see new disciplines focusing on depth materials such as IOT.
o Software engineer, since it is my specialty, differs from the ordinary
programmer with the ability to collect and analyze client requirements and
understand the client’s needs through the brainstorming and reach him
with a solution that achieves his goals and desires.
o I feel like you're starting to get sleepy, so I'm going to tell you a little bit
about software engineer salaries.
o I think there is no need to talk about salaries in Jordan, in fact there is no
average salary here, but I can tell you that salaries start from 200 dinars up
to 3000 dinars, Of course, 3000 dinars in foreign companies.
o The average salary in USA is between $132,000 and $200,000, there is no
difference, but you are love forgings.
o Now I think you know why I am registered in this course?
o The other fact is that there is no software engineer position in Jordan, all
job opportunities are PHP programmer needed in Amman. java
programmer is needed. Python programmer is needed, and please don't
ask me about experience!
o What made me laugh a while ago was that someone asked on Facebook
about flutter programmer with 10 years of experience. Flutter is a
Framework to making mobile applications, and Google launched it in 2017.
You can just imagine.
o If you excuse me, I will finish my speech by mentioning the progress
achieved by Arab countries, such as the UAE, especially in artificial
intelligence, more foreign countries are requesting the assistance of the
UAE in this field.
o And I see in my opinion that Saudi Arabia is currently moving in the
direction of modeling and artificial intelligence.
o This will cause a technological revolution in the Middle East, I see that
inshaa Allah.
o I also want to mention examples of ambitious young people who have
reached advanced stages, such as my colleague Jaafar Abu Al-Nada, who
discovered a loophole in the US Congress website and was honored by
congress 3 years ago, I think.
