EMMA WATSON
Emma Watson, whose full name is Emma Charlotte
Duerre Watson, was born on April 15, in 1990 in Paris,
France, where she lived until the age of five. Later,
following her parents' separation, she moved to England
to live with her mother in Oxfordshire, while spending
weekends at her father's house in London. Her parents,
Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, are lawyers, and
Emma has three stepbrothers and two stepsisters. She is a
renowned British actress who gained fame for her
prominent role as Hermione Granger in the successful
film series "Harry Potter."

Very little is known about Emma, as she has tried to keep her life away from the cameras. Watson
studied at the Dragon School in Oxford until 2003. However, from the age of 6 she already
wanted to become a great actress, so her mother enrolled her in Stagecoach Theater Arts in
Oxford. With the knowledge she acquired from her, she began to participate in several plays at
her school. She then entered the poetry contest The Daidy Poetry Competition, where she took
first place. In 2000, Emma participated in the auditions to play the character in the Harry Potter
saga, Hermione Granger. Watson enrolled at Brown University in New York to study English
literature, and although she did not stop receiving several acting proposals that she had to reject
because she did not want to interrupt her studies until she achieved the goal of she. This title
complements her career as an actress very well, since many of the characters she plays are
connected to literature.

In 2014, she gave a feminist speech at the UN on gender equality for which she received much
praise and was designated as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, dedicating all her efforts to
empower young women. In addition, she acted as an advocate for UN Women's HeForShe
campaign where she promoted gender equality, raising awareness among men in the feminist
struggle. In 2017, she returned to commercial cinema and released the real version of the Disney
classic Beauty and the Beast and two years later she would release a new version of Little Women
directed by Greta Gerwig.
