Biography of Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is an English actress and model. She was born in France, in
Paris to parents of British origin who work at this time, Christopher Watson and Jacqueline
Luesby, both lawyers. However, his maternal grandmother is French. She has a brother,
Alexander but named “Alex” three years younger than her, a half-brother, Toby, and half
twin sisters, Nina and Lucy. She lived in Paris until the age of 5 years, and then went to
Oxford, England with his mother and brother when his parents divorced.

She spent her elementary school years first at the Lynams School, kindergarten the Dragon
School from September 1995 to June 1998. As a teenager, she played field hockey club in
Oxford. After studying at the Dragon School, she enrolled from 2003 to Headington School,
Oxford private school reserved for girls. Having passed his A-level examinations in 2008,
Emma made a sabbatical year before joining Brown University in the fall of 2009 for
purposes of study of letters. In the autumn of 2011, she entered Oxford University to continue
his studies in English literature.

Before becoming Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film, her acting experience is limited
to a few minor roles in school plays, including Arthur Young Years and The Happy Prince.
Among her other activities at school include the Daisy Pratt Poetry Competition, where, at
the age of seven, she won first place.

She became first actresses of the most profitable of the decade (2000 to2009). In 1999 starts
the casting for the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Emma is contacted by a casting
agent who discovered through his drama teacher. To won the role in Harry Potter, she spent
eight auditions and eventually selected among thousands of candidates. The producers were

Emma Watson was chosen to play Hermione Granger at the age of ten, in Harry Potter and
the Sorcerer’s Stone, which was a huge success at the box office in several countries. Critics
found her performance “admirable” The Daily Telegraph, and IGN even said that she has
bitten the show from her co-stars. Since then she has appeared in all the films in the series:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
(2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
(2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Part 1and 2 (Nov. 2010 and Luly. 2011).

At fifteen, Emma became the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue
magazine. She also participates in a panel, with Pierce Brosnan, Kenneth Branagh, and
Samantha Morton, to select young directors “First Light” of 2004, for the award ceremony of
the films in Leicester Square in London. She also plays Hermione in The Queen’s Handbag
(The Handbag Queen), a special mini-episode of Harry Potter for the 80th anniversary of
Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

In 2007, Emma plays in Ballet Shoes, a BBC TV movie, in which she plays the leading role
of Pauline Fossil. The director told Emma that she is perfect for the role. “She has a delicate
aura that makes you want to watch it again and again.” Ballet Shoes brings together an
audience of 5.7 million viewers despite bad reviews. She also lends her voice to Princess Pea.
in the film adaptation of The Tale of Despereaux. In 2010, she turns in the video Say you do
not want it’s a group of his friends, One Night Only. Then she plays the role of Lucy, one of
Marilyn costume designers in the film My Week With Marilyn, released in late 2011, and
that of Sam in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is due out in 2012. She will play in
Your Voice in my Head, where she held the role of Emma Forrest, a depressed journalist and
she’s just finished to shoot The Bling Ring, a Sofia Coppola Movie, date release in 2013.
And she will be soon in New Orleans for The End of The World.

In 2009, she became the face of the famous British brand Burberry for autumn / winter
campaign. The same year she is back at Brown University. In 2010, she created a clothing
line for teens called Love from Emma along with Safia Minney, the founder of People Tree.
In December 2010, Emma Watson made the cover of December issue of Marie Claire, this
being the first animated version of magazine for iPad. In 2011, she became the new face of
Lancôme with Treasury Midnight Rose perfume and lipstick “Red in Love”. In May, she was
elected first in the ranking of best dressed women by Glamour Magazine. In December 2011,
Emma took first place in the ranking of TC Candler “The 100 most beautiful faces of 2011
before Camilla Belle and Rihanna.
