    Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers:

    As you may know, Toronto Police reported sounds of a gunshot near our school
    this afternoon at approx. 3:42 pm at the southeast corner of Oakwood Ave and
    Rosemount Ave. Police have reported there are no victims, no suspects, nor
    evidence of the sound source.

    As this incident took place after dismissal when most students left the school,
    some students may be understandably upset by what they saw or heard about
    this event. Be assured that we will do all that we can to help students. Our social
    worker will be at the school tomorrow to speak to students and offer support,
    including speaking to students individually as needed.

    Please don’t hesitate to contact the school office if you have any questions.
