March 11, 2013 Dear Parents and Guardians: This morning the District held a joint news conference with the Edmonton Police Service after a teacher at the school was charged this weekend with numerous sexual offences due to an alleged relationship with a 15 year old female student. Piotr Zaloba was immediately suspended from his teaching duties. An investigation has been launched by the District to gather information about the incident and determine if there are any measures that need to be put into place in the future. The Districts Critical Response Team has been at the school today to talk with any students or staff with concerns. The safety of our students is always our first priority.
