Dear Reiche Parents/Guardians,

We are writing to inform you of an incident that occurred this morning of February 15, 2023.
While walking to school, an elementary student was approached near Rosemont Market by a
tall, thin white man wearing black clothes, a black hat, and a beard, late 20s to 30s. He had a
dog with spots. An attempt to coerce the child into a car was made. Thankfully, an alert parent
intervened, and the child ran to the school while the man left the scene. The Portland Police
have been informed and the child’s family has already been notified.

Due to the seriousness of this report, we ask you to reinforce to your child the importance of
staying alert and vigilant when out in the community. We are committed to the safety and
welfare of our students, and will continue to keep you informed when incidents like this happen
in our community.

If you have any information regarding this, please reach out to us. Our phone number is
