BASE PRICE SCENARIOS

1. NORMAL BASE PRICE: Business requires a scenario for mapping base price determined
through Condition Records (VK11) & if required changes can also be done at Sales Order.

NOTE: Prices in Condition Record VK11 & Va01 is different as manual changes of
Condition Type Amount is Manual & hence its changes in Sales Order level

2. QUANTITY SCALE: Business requires a scenario where on the basis of order qty. a price slab
of material shall be maintained & accordingly price shall be fetched in sales order.

Scenario1 # Business wants sale of first 5 units @ Rs 1000/ unit, next 10 @ Rs 800/unit, next 10
@ Rs 500/unit.

We can see that for SO Qty = 20 BT, the Sales Order Pricing is as follows:

The pricing is on slab basis that we have maintained in scale in VK11.

If the SO Qty is more than max. Qty. mentioned in SCALE in this case for Example 3 units,
then system will not take the Price of last 5 units.

Also the in Bifurcation step of Base Price, the price system calculated is Total Condition
Value of 3 different Price Slabs / SO Qty (units)

Scenario2 # If Business wants to have same price slab but want to set pricing like pricing of all order
qty shall be on the slab with higher limit of qty. set

For 15 units

Suppose SO Qty is 30 units but Scale Limit is set at 25 Units (max.), then let’s see what happens:

***System will show error as Scale Limits in VK11 is set up to 25 units.

Scenario3 # If Business wants to have same price slab but want to set like pricing of all order qty shall
be on the slab with lower limit of qty. set, then:-

*** as lower Scale Limit is set for 5 qty., lets see if SO qty is less than 5 units, say 2 units:

3. NET WT / GROSS WT SCALE: Business requires a scenario where on the basis of NET WT /
GROSS WT a price slab of material shall be maintained & accordingly price shall be fetched in
sales order.

between Ship to Party & Customer a price slab of material shall be maintained & accordingly

DISCOUNT SCENARIOS

1. Business wants to give discount to a customer in pattern: First 10 pcs: 5% Disc, next 10pcs:
20% Disc, Next 10 pcs: 25% disc.
How to map the same in Sales Order.

2. Business wants to give discount to a customer in pattern: If Order Qty is UPTO 10 pcs: 5%
Disc, if order qty is UPTO 20pcs: 10% Disc, If Order Qty is 30 pcs and above then 15%
discount.

3. Business discount requirement will be like: First 49 pcs no discount, then after if Order Qty is
50 pcs & above discount shall be 5%, if order qty is 200 pcs & above discount shall be 10%, if
order qty is 500 pcs & above discount shall be 20%. Map the pricing.

4. Business discount requirement will be like: First 49 pcs no discount, then after if Order Qty is
50 pcs & above discount shall be FIXED OF RS 500. Map the pricing.

5. Business discount requirement will be like: First 49 pcs no discount, then after if Order Qty is
50 pcs & above discount shall be 5%, if order qty is 200 pcs & above discount shall be 10%, if
order qty is 500 pcs & above discount shall be 20%.
However business puts a requirement that – once the total discount given to the customer
reaches Rs 50000/-, the system should stop giving further discount. Map the scenario.

It is same as followed in Point No. 3
b. Discount limiting procedure: Here the concept of “CONDITION UPDATE” shall be
used.

HERE YOU CAN SEE THAT AS PER 20% DISCOUNT, THE DISCOUNT VALUE SHALL
BE RS 100000/-, BUT HERE SYSTEM HAS CAPTURED RS 50000/- AS DISCOUNT.

THIS IS BCOZ OF THE FUNCTIONALITY OF CONDITION UPDATE WHICH IS


LIMITING THE DISCOUNT AS PER CONDITIONS SET.

6. Business discount requirement will be like: First 49 pcs no discount, then after if Order Qty is
50 pcs & above discount shall be 5%, if order qty is 200 pcs & above discount shall be 10%, if
order qty is 500 pcs & above discount shall be 20%.
However business puts a requirement that – once the total Order Qty reaches 550 units, the
system should stop giving further discount. Map the scenario.

This scenario can be mapped by two ways:-

However business puts a requirement that – IT WILL ALLOW DISCOUNT FOR FIRST 3
CONSIGNMENTS/ORDERS, AFTER THAT NO DISCOUNT SHALL BE GIVEN.
