The game-based teaching approach is one of the most researched topics today

because of the evidence from previous studies that it is effective in teaching young

learners. In Physical Education, teacher-centered approaches were utilized,

reprimanding students from learning a specific topic's basic concepts and vital skills.

Comparing it to the videos, allowing students to understand the idea of a sport,

exercise, or dance helps them be physically engaged, which develops their body and

enhances their cognitive skills. There is an oblivious difference between how other

countries teach Physical Education and the Philippines because the students and

society look down on Physical Education in the Philippines. Integrating game-based

teaching methods in the Philippines to teach P.E. is desirable because it will encourage

students to be physically engaged, which can also foster effective learning. Introducing

the concepts of topics under Physical Education using a discussion-based approach will

keep on removing students' interest in this subject and field.

Despite the observable effectiveness of game-based teaching methods,

Philippine P.E. teachers still cannot easily apply these techniques because of a lack of

equipment and facilities that can cater to active learning. The country still needs to look

at Physical Education as equally crucial as Science or Math to motivate them to invest

in infrastructures and learning resources, ensuring active learning, especially in primary

education. The more people look down on P.E., the lesser the motivation it can give

instructors because it is insulting for them to teach something that students consider an

additional unit only to complete the semester.
