1. IP hub is simply a device that connects multiple computers in a local network. However,
it's important to note that hubs are not aware of the data they are handling they simply
broadcast the data to all connected devices. This lack of intelligence makes hubs less
efficient compared to switches while the physical Layer is the first layer of the OSI
model, and it deals with the physical connection between devices. This layer defines the
physical characteristics of the network, just like as cables, connectors, and electrical
signaling.

2. The Data Link is a layer in the OSI model that deals with the transmission of data frames,
while a switch is a networking device that operates at this layer and facilitates the
efficient communication of data within a local network by using MAC addresses for
forwarding decisions. The switch is a specific implementation of the Data Link Layer
functionality in a networking device.

3. The transport layer is responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient communication
between applications on different devices. TCP provides connection-oriented, reliable
communication, while UDP is connectionless and offers a simpler, lower-overhead
communication method.

4. A router is a specific device that communicate between different networks, while a

network is a broader term referring to the interconnected devices that can communicate
with each other. Routers play a crucial role in directing data between network, to ensure
that that information reaches its intended destination across different segments of a
network or between different networks.

5. HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP are specific application layer protocols used for various
purposes in internet communication. The application layer, in a broader sense, includes a
variety of protocols and services that facilitate communication between software
applications running on different devices. Each protocol has its specific use case and
features, such as HTTP for web browsing, HTTPS for secure web communication, and
FTP for file transfer.
