A POSITION PAPER ON WHY WE SHOULD PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT

The environment might be regarded everything to us. It is where we obtain our food, shelter,
water, medications, sun warmth, and, of course, the air we breathe. The environment supplies us with
everything we need, but we often overlook its restrictions. Nothing is everlasting, and nothing is ever
limitless. The globe is undergoing tremendous environmental damage as a result of the indiscriminate
exploitation of natural resources and the bad habits of the majority of the population. However, many
continue to deny the negative consequences of their irresponsible behavior. They continue to refuse to
look around and notice the situation of our surroundings. They are still refusing to listen to our mother
nature's screams of helplessness. Is this what we'll give back to the world after all the benefits we've
received?
At all costs, we must conserve and defend our ecosystem. There is no other planet Earth but
the one we currently have. It is unquestionably the most powerful because it is the only one with the
potential to preserve life and prevent all of God Almighty's creations from perishing. Unending pollution,
whether on air, water, or anything else that can be polluted, is one of the most pressing environmental
concerns we face today. People in cities are deprived of fresh air to breathe because they are exposed
to the fumes from automobiles and industry. It is undoubtedly bad to breathe in dirt because it is
everywhere. Despite the threats of large landslides and flash floods that most regions are facing, illegal
logging and mining continue to be conducted. We all know that trees provide us with clean air to
breathe, hold the soil in place to prevent calamities such as landslides, and absorb water to prevent
floods, among other things. The government, in some ways, contributes to this by failing to enact
adequate rules and regulations to restrict people's criminal activities. They do not apply the same
punishment to all violators, which is why many illegal loggers and miners continue to operate without
fear.
If we look closely and observe, we can see that there are serious problems with our
surroundings. There are numerous issues that require prompt attention. There is only one world, one
home for us. We simply cannot afford to lose it for any reason. Discipline is one of the most important
and straightforward steps we can take to help protect and maintain our environment. With all of the best
technology that intellectual brains are designing, it is now possible to use all of the advanced gadgets
necessary for helping to maintain and preserve our natural environment while globalization continues to
emerge and embrace our entire system. In fact, there are numerous ways in which we can contribute to
environmental preservation. Some of these can be accomplished through simple actions in our daily
lives, such as effective waste management, the use of less plastics, the recycling of items into more
useful ones, and so on. If you have free time, you can plant trees with your family, friends, or coworkers
to enhance your bonds.
If we care about our future and that of future generations, we must always consider what we will
do, act accordingly, and employ various methods to help preserve the environment. Natural resources
are limited, and they will not always be available when we need them. We must learn to correctly utilize
these resources and refrain from becoming abusive or greedy in taking more than we require.
Remember that everything we have now is not truly ours; we have them thanks to the bulk of the
environment's help and assistance. Know your limitations, give back to others, and be courteous
enough to consider others' stakes even if you don't know them. We are fortunate to be aided by the
benefits that the environment can provide. We are fortunate that God made it possible, that God loves
us enough to provide for our needs. Be aware of what's going on around you, and educate others as
well. The more people who are concerned, the more people who act, and the more reforms and
improvements we can accomplish, the better. We can take significant steps to make our Mother Earth a
better place to live and a place that future generations will enjoy as well.
