Bluey-Inspired Heeler Sisters (8.5” tall)
The eyes are glued onto the whites of the eyes and then sewed onto the body afterwards (I don’t use
the plastic backings to reduce bulginess in the eyes). The arms and legs are crocheted separately, and
then crocheted onto the body. If preferred, they can be sewed onto the body instead; but I like to sew
as little as possible. The eyes, eyebrows, muzzle, ears and tail are crocheted separately and sewn on
afterwards.
The recommended hook sizes vary by each section. If you’d like, you may use all the same hook size,
but the results may differ.

ASSEMBLY
• Insert and glue safety eyes slightly off-centre onto the eye whites. Once dried, sew the eye
whites to the body, so that the center of the safety eyes fit in between
o R23 and R24, 6 stitches apart for Bluey
o R23 and R24, 4 stitches apart for Bingo
• Using black yarn, embroider a nose onto the muzzle (see
black and white diagram). Optionally, if you have a safety
nose, secure it on now. Lightly fill the muzzle with
stuffing.
• Sew on the muzzle to the body, so that the top of the
muzzle is over R23 (adjacent the safety eyes) and the
bottom of the muzzle is over R17, leaving 3 rows of
medium blue / light orange of the Bluey’s / Bingo’s body.
• Stuff the body; using the mattress stitch, sew up the
head. The corners of the head may be imperfect, but they will be concealed by the ears.
• Sew the ears at the top of the head.
• Sew the eyebrows onto the ears at a slight angle, where the ears join to the head.
• Sew the tail over R5 to R7 of the body.
• Crochet a small patch (6 sc in mc) and sew over Bingo’s tail
• Sew a smile on the muzzle.
• Hide all loose ends into the body.
Annnd congrats – you’re finished Bluey and Bingo!! Now…time to play Grannies!
