Materials
-any bulky yarn 100-140yds and the appropriate crochet hook for your yarn.
- faux fur Pom Pom and a pin or a safety pin.
Gauge: This hat can be made for any gauge, because tis pattern is written using measurements, as
opposed to a number of stitches. Then, this hat can be made with Any yarn ( I recommend bulky
yarn) and with the appropriate crochet hook for your yarn.
For example, in my pictures, the hats have a gauge of 11sts/4” .
Legend:
St-Stitch
SC-Single Crochet / HDC- Half Double Crochet / DC-Double Crochet
RS-right side / WS- wrong side

Bobble Stitch
-YO and insert hook into the desired stitch, YO and pull
through stitch,
YO and pull it through first loops on the hook.
Now there are 3 loops on the hook.

-YO and insert hook into the desired stitch, YO and pull through stitch
Now there are 5 loops on the hook.

-To finish the bubble:

YO and pull through first 4 loops. Now there are 2 loops on
the hook .
YO and pull through 2 remaining loops.

1st loop HDC (Front loop)- each HDC stitch has actually 3 loops:
Third loop
-there are two main loops=in a shape of V on the top of each stitch Back loop
referred to as the Front loop
and the Back loop respectively
- If you look behind this “V”, you’ll see another loop: the Third loop=
behind the Back loop.
By crocheting in the First loop that is in the front, you push the Back
loop and the Third loop back.
Front loop
This create a fabric that looks on the opposite side, like knitting.

SIZES:- all you need to know is the circumference of the recipient's head, because this pattern can
be made to fit any size of head.
For guidance, see the next table with the head measurements when choosing the size.

To read before starting

*I’ve provided measurements for toddler( child, teen , adult), however you can use any measurement
you want to fit any size, these sizes are just general guidelines.
**This pattern will make a large rectangle. Slip stitch both ends together into a tube and cinched at
the top to make a hat.
*** Ch 1 do not count as a stitch.

So let’s get started!
Beginning chain: Chain on crochet hook an even number of chains needed to obtain
6”(7”, 8”, 8½”), inches long, when gently stretched.
*The beginning chain will be he height of your hat, if you prefer a slouchy hat, work 2”(2
1/2”, 3”,4”)more.
Row1: SC in second chain from hook, SC in each of next 2 chains, DC in each of next chain
to the last 3 chains, SC in each of last 3 chains. You have an odd number of sts. Ch1. Turn.

Row2: HDC in each stitch across.

Ch1.Turn

Row3( worked in front loop only): SC in front loop of each of next 3 stitches,
*1Bobble in front loop of next st, 1 SC in front loop of next st* ,
repeat from *-* to the last 2 sts,
SC in front loop of each of last 2sts.
Ch1. Turn.

Row4: SC in each stitch across.

Ch1.Turn.

Row5: SC in each of next 2 sts, DC in each of next sts to the last 3 sts, SC in each of last 3
sts. Ch1. Turn.
Row6: HDC in each stitch across. Ch1.Turn
Row7( worked in front loop only): SC in front loop of each of next 3 stitches, * 1Bobble
in front loop of next st, 1 SC in front loop of next st , repeat from *-* to the last 2 sts, SC in
front loop of each of last 2sts. Ch1. Turn.
Row8: SC in each stitch across. Ch1.Turn.
Repeat rows 5-8 as many times as necessary
until your rectangle is 17”(19”, 20”,22”),
or long enough to wrap around the recipient’s
head.

Do Not cut yarn.

Lay out the rectangle
-so the rows are running vertically and then
fold the rectangle in half from left to right.
With wrong side facing you,
Slip stitch both ends together
( the foundation chain and the most recent row)
into a tube.

Once you get to the other side, Do Not cut yarn,

Turn with Right side facing you and
make a border:
make an HDC in each row around.
Cut the yarn.

*cinched to the top using double strand of yarn,:

weave in and out through each row of the top of the
hat all the way around, and pull tight, tie off and weave in your ends.
**Attach the Faux Fur Pom Pom to top of Hat
Because the Faux Fur is not washable, I recommend to sew the pompom on a pin or use a
safety pin, to be easily detached or replaced with a Pom Pom of a different color.
***Weave in all ends.

Congratulations! You have your MAISIE hat!

Fournitures :
-Laine: Fil bulky 90-130m et le crochet approprié pour le fil choisi.
-Un pompon en faux fourrure et une épingle de sureté pour attacher le pompon.
Échantillon: Ce bonnet peut être fait pour n'importe quel échantillon. Par exemple, dans mes images
les bonnets ont un échantillon de 11mls/10cm.
Mais vous n'avez pas besoin de vérifier l’échantillon, tout ce dont vous avez besoin de connaitre est la
circonférence de la tête du destinataire.
Légende:
ml=maille
MS= maille serrée /DB=demi bride/ BS= bride simple
MSBA= Maille Serrée prise par le Brin Avant seulement
End-à l’endroit du travail / Env- à l’envers du travail
Bobble:
-1jeté et piquer le crochet dans la ml désirée,
1jeté et le ramener à travers la ml,
1 jeté et le ramener au travers de la 1ere ml se trouvant sur le
crochet. Maintenant vous avez 3 boucles sur le crochet.

-1jeté et piquer le crochet dans la ml désirée,

1jeté et le ramener à travers la ml,
Maintenant vous avez 5 boucles sur le crochet.

-1 jeté et le ramener au travers des premières 4 boucles.

Maintenant vous avez 2 boucles sur le crochet.

-1 jeté et le ramener au travers des 2 boucles restantes.

3e brin DB- chaque point DB a en réalité 3 brins: 3e Brin

--il y a deux brins principales = en forme de V sur le dessus de Brin arriere
chaque maille loop
- appelées respectivement le Brin avant et le Brin arrière

Si vous regardez derrière ce "V", vous verrez un autre brin:

le 3e brin= derrière le brin arrière.
En crochetant dans la Brin avant vous poussez les Brins arrière et le Brin avant
3e brin vers arrière et cela crée un tissu qui ressemble au tricot.

TAILLES-Tout ce que vous devez savoir, c'est la circonférence de la tête du destinataire, ou vous
pouvez vous reporter au tableau suivant avec les dimensions de la tête lorsque vous choisissez la taille
taille tour de tête
Petit Enfant 2-4ans 46-48cm
Enfant 5-8 ans 51-53cm
Adolescent, jeune adulte 56-58cm
Adulte 60-61cm

A lire avant de commencer

* J’ai fourni des mesures pour le petit enfant (enfant, adolescent, adulte), mais vous pouvez utiliser
toutes les mesures que vous souhaitez pour adapter à n’importe quelle taille.
** Ce motif fera un grand rectangle. Joindre les deux extrémités ensemble pour former un tube et
serrer au sommet pour faire un chapeau.
*** Le 1ml dans l’air au début de chaque Rang ne compte pas comme une maille.

Maintenant on commence!
Crocheter une chaînette de fondation d’un nombre Pair de mls pour avoir - un peu étirée
une longueur 15(17.5, 20, 21)cm -pour les tailles petit enfant( enfant, adolescent, adulte)
*NOTE: si vous préférez un bonnet mou( slouchy), crocheter encore 5(6, 7.5, 10)cm de
plus
Rang 1:1MS dans le 2ème ml à partir du crochet, 1 MS dans chacune des 2mls suivantes,
1DB dans chaque ml, jusqu'aux 3 dernières ml, 1 MS dans chacune des 3dernières mls.
Vous avez maintenant un
nombre Impair de mailles.
Tourner.

Rang 2: 1ml dans l’air, DB dans chaque ml, jusqu'à la fin du rang. Tourner.

Rang 3(tout le rang est fait dans le Brin Avant seulement): 1ml dans l’air, 1 MSBA dans
chacune des 3mls suivantes,
* 1Bobble dans le Brin Avant seulement, 1MSBA dans la ml suivante*,
répèter de*-* jusqu'aux 2 dernières mls, 1MSBA dans chacune des 2dernières mls. Tourner.

Rang 4: 1ml dans l’air, DB dans chaque ml, jusqu'à la fin du rang. Tourner.

Rang5: 1ml dans l’air, 1 MS dans chacune des 3mls suivantes, DB dans chaque ml
jusqu'aux 3 dernières ml, 1 MS dans chacune des 3 dernières mls. Tourner.
Rang 6: 1ml dans l’air, DB dans chaque ml, jusqu'à la fin du rang. Tourner.
Rang 7(tout le rang est fait dans le Brin Avant seulement): 1ml dans l’air, 1 MSBA dans
chacune des 3mls suivantes,
* 1Bobble dans le Brin Avant seulement, 1MSBA dans la ml suivante*,
répèter de*-* jusqu'aux 2 dernières mls, 1MSBA dans chacune des 2dernières mls. Tourner.
Rang 8: 1ml dans l’air, DB dans chaque ml, jusqu'à la fin du rang. Tourner.

Répéter Rangs 5-8 jusqu'à ce que votre rectangle

- un peu étiré - ait 43(48, 51, 56)cm
ou la même longueur que la circonférence de la tête du
destinataire.
Ne pas couper le fil.

Disposez le rectangle pour que les lignes soient
verticales, puis pliez le rectangle en deux de gauche à
droite.
Avec l’envers du travail vers vous, joindre les deux
extrémités ensemble, avec des mailles coulées (la
chaînette de fondation et le dernier rang) dans un tube.

Une fois que vous arrivez de l'autre côté, Ne Pas Couper

le fil

Tourner le travail avec l’endroit vers vous et faire

une bordure en point DB : 1 DB dans chaque rang,
tout autour.
Couper le fil.

*Serrer le haut du bonnet:

Coupez le fil, mettez le fil en double et tirez-le à
travers les mls. Serrez et attachez bien.
**Attacher le pompon en fausse fourrure sur le bonnet.
*** La fausse fourrure n'étant pas lavable, je vous recommande de coudre le pompon sur
une épingle ou d'utiliser une épingle de sûreté pour pouvoir le détacher facilement ou le
remplacer par un pompon d'une autre couleur.

Félicitations! Votre bonnet MAISIE est fait!
