INTRODUCTION
 In the old days, the only
resource that architects,
engineers or designers used
to illustrate their projects was
to draw them by hand.
Fortunately, today, there are
design software that have
replaced pencil and paper
with digital designs.
 A clear example of this is
AutoCAD, a software that
allows you to innovate in less
time and that, thanks to its
versatility, is the preferred
program for creating and
editing 2D drawings and 3D
modeling.
WHAT IS AutoCAD?
 AutoCAD is a CAD software, for its acronym in English Computer
Assisted Design o en español, “diseño asistido por computadora”.
It is a technology developed by Autodesk, which has come to
revolutionize the world of design and technical documentation with
an automated process.
WHAT IS AutoCAD FOR?
 Rendering is the graphical representation
 AutoCAD helps you visualize that simulates the performance of a

AutoCAD ICONS AND TOOLS
 These are all the dropdown menus loaded in the
AutoCAD application window. These are displayed
1. MENU BAR. by clicking the left mouse button on the desired
menu. Each menu contains a list of commands
and options.
2. THE STATUS BAR.  Area that occupies the lower part of the
screen. It gives us information about the
drawing parameters:

4. THE COMMAND  It is used to enter orders manually using the

messages and available options when an order
is executed.

5. THE TOOLBARS.  Include buttons that execute commands or

specify options for commands.
5.1. THE STANDARD  Contains the most commonly used
TOOLBAR. AutoCAD buttons such as Redraw, Undo
and Zoom, as well as standard Microsoft
Office tools such as Open, Save, Print etc.
