Honey: Balete Community College Faculty & Staff together with our dear College President-Dr. Arturo I.
Zonio, Acting College Administrator Dr. Almon R. Oquendo & especially to our honored guest.

Randy: To our very thoughtful & responsible College President, Dr. Arturo I. Zonio, to our supportive and
humble Acting College Administrator Dr. Almon R. Oquendo to our young & pretty Chairman, Committee on
Education, Hon. Prescilla Gale S. Calizo, to our beloved guest for this year’s Pahampang, BCC Faculty &
Staff, PTA Officers, students & visitors; ladies & gentlemen, a pleasant morning.

Honey: School is a place where students are nurtured toward becoming responsible and productive
members of society. School provides as a means of molding students into capable employees or
professionals in their chosen fields. Mathematics and Science help students to enhance their reasoning,
English helps hone and polish verbal and written communications, Social studies promote socialization &
awareness, and physical education encourages students to have holistic & active lifestyles & practice the
arts of winning, losing & teamwork.
In other words, participating in physical education provides invaluable life skills.

Randy: The word intramurals signifies sports, whether individual or team competitions. It showcases
different values which are expected to be embodied by the athletes since they are the core components of
the sports events. A few of these are sportsmanship which means acceptance of the results, teamwork
which means unselfishness & thinking majorly about the goal of the family as a whole but considering the
welfare of every member.

Honey: Sports are very powerful. They take you through the highest of highs & the lowest of lows, bringing
out almost every emotion along the way. They teach you lifelong lessons through victory and defeat and
develop important skills like hard work, leadership, and perseverance.

Randy: Even if you have never played sports before, you can still join an intramural. If you only want to
compete and have good times with your friends, intramural sports are perfect for you. There are tons of
participants who are out there playing for the first time. The point isn’t to show talented you are, but rather
to go do something you love and have a good time doing it. This is true for everyone.

Honey: And to start with, may I request all of you to please stand for a doxology, by Stephen Bautista, and
College Instructor, to be followed by the Philippine National Anthem and Aklan Hymn by Erenita Tulio
College Instructor : conducting.

Randy: To begin this program, we are pleased to have Mr. Ralp Garret J. Martesano, our Sports
