A. Overview

Quantium Solutions is a logistic company that provides international delivery service that is
located in the Philippines but has a facility head post in Singapore. As we look into the business
there are many problems that needed to be fixed. This project created a model which will help a
logistics company’s finance department to set up a process that will improve the remittance of
cash-on-delivery payments of customers on time.
A. The team also come up with numerous strategies and solution to help the finance
department of Quantium Solution be more efficient when it comes to the remittance of
money. One of the given solutions for it is mitigation strategies to help the company
solve and be more efficient when it comes to remitting of money. They also included
some Timeline and key activities to have a look on the estimated number of weeks
needed for the project. They also included assumptions so that they can have a look on
what are the possible success and risks that this project can give after it has been put on
the project testing. It is important to take note that this proposal entails that we are
building a company to provide services for Quantium Solutions because it highlighted
phases such as setting up a business venture.

3
B. Business Value

For the first mitigation strategy, the value this brings does a great deal in providing insights
into how to improve leadership. Such that it includes assessment on communications styles and
decision-making abilities which then addresses issues in leadership that hinders in properly
enforcing the protocols and procedures. These improvements can lead to increased employee
engagement and retention, higher customer satisfaction, and better overall performance. Then for
the second mitigation strategy, by investing in advanced analytical techniques and gaining
deeper insights into their data, companies can make more informed and effective decisions. This
leads to decreased risks as you make informed decisions resulting in increased profitability and
operational efficiency. The case for allowing competitive analysis into the company, these
improvements can lead to increased market share due to stronger brand recognition that it
provoked.

In summary, implementing these mitigation strategies can help companies operate more
efficiently, make better decisions, stay competitive in the market, and develop stronger
leadership. These improvements can lead to increased profitability, higher customer satisfaction,
and better overall performance.

1. Weaknesses

 Lack of administrative leadership as protocols and procedures are not properly enforced.
 Inadequate methods in advanced analytical techniques by relying solely on basic
statistical models.
 Incompetent market knowledge as they are unsure of their position within the market,
whether they are in an advantageous or unfavorable position compared to their
competitors.

2. Mitigation

Leadership Analysis

Perform an assessment of their leaders’ administrative capabilities and what is needed to

properly execute the company's goals and objectives. This can be done by analyzing its
leaderships performance record and how their employees see the organization's leadership and
overall culture. The data collected can be used by the company to identify their key leadership
drivers and produce a suitable leadership strategy.

4
Training

Integrate advanced analytic techniques like data mining in their analytical methods to be
able to identify market patterns and relationships through larger data sets.

Competitive Analysis

A proper analysis of the competition to identify strengths and weaknesses and conducting
new market research on the target market will help determine the company’s market position.

B. Engagement Scope

This proposed project will only affect functional areas such as Finance, IT, and Operations.
In which it will be focused on improving cash remittance that seems to be lagging the
performance of the company. Also, to develop a model that the goal is to help logistic company’s
finance department to set up a process that will improve the remittance of cash on delivery
payments of customers on time.

Scope:

 Analyze existing cash remittance processes and identify pain points, bottlenecks, and
areas for improvement.
 Build a model that provides real-time visibility into cash remittance performance and
alerts users to anomalies or potential issues.
 Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce processing time and
errors.

Limitations:

 The project will focus on analytics and technology solutions to improve cash remittance
processes. It will not involve process reengineering or changes to existing business
policies or procedures.
 The project will be limited to the data sources and systems that are available within the
organization.
 The accuracy of the model will depend on the quality of data available.

E. Knowledge Transfer and Capability Building Expectations

It is important that communication within and between departments have a straightforward

system for communicating and collaborating with one another. Information and data should also
be accessible to prevent delays and bottlenecks within the organization. To achieve this, an
implementation of a suited knowledge transfer system not only streamlines communication
within the organization, but it also provides rapid access to knowledge and data thus accelerating
its dissemination and accumulation within and between its departments.

 Have a knowledge management structure that organizes data and knowledge collected.
Acquire a database that establishes a hierarchy of data accessibility to ensure that proper
data and knowledge is provided thus avoiding redundancies within the system. Also
provide an onsite server as the central hub for collecting and storing data as well as
integrating online management systems (ex. Google Drive) for data organization and
sharing.

 Create a knowledge transfer plan to establish a system of retaining information and

knowledge. This ensures that an appropriate transition of information is conducted
whenever an employee leaves the company or is assigned to another role. A thorough
turnover period of duties should contain, but not limited to a training program as well as
creating a turnover document to properly integrate the newly filled-up position with the
critical information (client and supplier contact details, unfinished tasks, current
responsibilities, etc.) needed to continue operations.

We are looking forward to the inevitable changes and advancements in technology within and
around the logistics industry. Through proper training and establishing pertinent knowledge
acquisition, collection, and transfer systems, we expect that the organization to be well-equipped
for sustainability and adaptability in the future. Its capability to perform in achieving its goals
and objectives, while it may need more refinement, will be enough to deliver short-term and
long-term success and stay competitive for years to come.
