 Precision Bearing With SCA2000 Synthetic Grease

Optimized tolerances and lower friction characteristics of the
lubrication system reduce wear in the bearing, broaden STAR’s
operating parameters, and provide extended bearing life.
 Tougher Carbide Shapes and Grades
Improvements in compact geometry, coupled with proprietary
carbide grades increase tooth strength and wear resistance.
 Diamond Shirttail Compacts (DS)
For additional leg protection in abrasive applications, flat diamond
compacts are inserted on the leg of the bit.
 Shirttail Compacts (S)
Tungsten carbide compacts are added to the shirttail to reduce
leg wear in abrasive formations and deviated or horizontal well
bores.
 Updrill Protection (U)
Provides additional protection to the compensator and assists the
drilling operation when backreaming is required.
