Sub: Prior approval of the Government of India under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act,
2003 to M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited (SKRPL) for the transmission
scheme “Connectivity to M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited for its proposed
300 MW wind farms in Bhuj, Gujarat” - reg.

Sir,
M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited (SKRPL) vide its letters under reference has
sought prior approval of the Government of India under section 68 (1) of the Electricity Act,
2003 for the transmission scheme “Connectivity to M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables Private
Limited for its proposed 300 MW wind farms in Bhuj, Gujarat ” with the following scope of
work:
i. Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited – Bhuj-II PS 220 kV S/c line along with
associated bays at generator end
(Bays at ISTS sub-station end shall be under the scope of Transmission licensee
owning the ISTS sub-station subject to compliance of relevant provisions of tariff
policy)

2. The above transmission scheme with its specified scope of work has been discussed
and agreed in 32nd meeting of WR Constituents regarding Connectivity and LTA
applications held on 26.11.2018.

3. CEA conveys the prior approval of Government under Section 68(1) of Electricity
Act, 2003 to M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited for the following overhead
line under the transmission scheme “Connectivity to M/s Sitac Kabini Renewables
Private Limited for its proposed 300 MW wind farms in Bhuj, Gujarat”:

i. Sitac Kabini Renewables Private Limited – Bhuj-II PS 220 kV S/c line (with
AL59 Moose conductor)
Line length is approx. 55 km, which would be implemented in two sections from
SKRPL switchyard to Bhuj-II PS:
(a) Section 1: 53 km 220 kV S/c line on D/c towers from SKRPL switchyard
to M/c tower starting point
(b) Section 2: 2 km 220 kV S/c line on M/c towers (comprising of 4 ckts)
from M/c tower starting point to Bhuj-II PS

4. This approval is subject to compliance of

a) The relevant provisions of the Act, as amended from time to time and the rules
and regulations made there under, and
b) CEA (Measures relating to Safety and Electrical Supply) Regulations, 2010 and
any subsequent amendments made thereto.

5. The approval is also subject to the following conditions:

(i) The implementing agency will commence construction of the project within
three years of grant of approval, unless this term is extended by the Central
Electricity Authority.
(ii) Central Electricity Authority may withdraw the approval before the expiry of the
period of three years after giving a one-month notice.
(iii) The implementing agencies shall abide by the provisions of Works of Licensee
Rules, 2006 notified by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Power in the Gazette of
India, extra-ordinary Part-II, Section 3(i) dated 18-04-2006 (vide GSR 217 (E)
dated 18-04-2006).
