Personal Technology Timeline

The purpose of this assignment is for you to gain a perspective on the technologies that have
been created during your lifetime. This is an investigation of the developments, discoveries,
inventions, and innovations of your lifetime. It will enable you to understand the importance of
the evolution and rate at which technology arises during a lifetime. It is also hoped that you
will recognize the contribution that various technologies have made in improving life.

Requirements
1) Your timeline will consist of the years that you have been alive. Each year of your life
should be represented by one technology on the timeline.
2) You must include at least one picture for each year your timeline.
3) You will produce the text for your timeline using the word processing program Microsoft
Word on your computer.
4) Take sufficient time to research and input your information. You may search the internet
for your information. The information must be true and accurate.

5) You must express the information in your own words – DO NOT “cut and paste” the text
information from the websites. Use your own words (paraphrase). Grammar and
spelling count!
