Narrative Report on 2023 Councilwide Scout Jamboree

I. Introduction
The 2023 BSP Mis. Or. Councilwide Jamboree in Samay, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental on
February 08 – 11, 2023, gave the scouters bundles of experiences especially the delegation
ftom Libertad District which they consider an adventure of a lifetime.

II. The Delegation

The District of Libertad, with the approval of the District Supervisor Mr. Joylito O.
Villastique, sent a delegation of 34 scouters: 5 boys scouts from the Elementary and 24 senior
scouts from Lubluban Integrated School, 6 adult leaders from Libertad Central School and
Lubluban Elementary and Integrated School.
The number of delegation could have reached to 44 scouters had there been no
unfavourable situations the other scouters experienced. Ten scouters who originally planned to
opted to stay because they had cough and fever. And some haven’t raised the six-hundred
pesos registration.
Two parents in the person of Mr. Deoristo Gallogo and Nanay Encar were with the
delegation.

III. The Trip to Samay and Back

The trip going to the site on Wednesday, February 08, 2023 was a bit delayed because
some papers had to be accomplished before we could gas up.
At exactly 10:00 o’clock in the morning, the delegation left Libertad Central School on
board two public utility jeepneys contacted by Scouter Lorein J. Magallanes.
The delegation made the first stop at Balingasag proper for lunch at 1 pm. After which,
Adult Leaders Gena Fe, Leany and Rubell Jean went to the public market to buy the foor for the
whole duration.
The way going up to the site was long. However, the wonderful rural sight and the
greenery along the roadside which every eyes of the delegation feasted on, somehow eased the
long and butt-numbing ride.
The trip back home on Saturday, February 11, 2023 was equally exciting as the trip going
to the site. The delegation was on board an open elf which gave the scouters no obstruction of
the view along the countryside. It drizzled along the way in Tagoloan but it didn’t however give
the scouters discomfort but another bundle of fun instead.
The delegation got home safe and sound at around 6 pm.

IV. The Scouters in Action

The District delegation of Boy Scouts had been joined with the other delegation to
complete a troop of one Patrol. And had been exposed to different activities by troop, one at a
time with the supervising of Adult Leaders Gena Fe, Rubell Jean and Lorein Magallanes. The
selected activities will give the scouters exciting experiences which will yield in their skills in life
and on leadership and develop desirable attitudes and values with the guidance of the adult
leaders.
