Part 3; Evidence of Communication


For us, the communication with our intercultural peers didn’t go very
well. The connection was terrible when we were having a Zoom
session with the Indian students. We didn’t talk on Whatsapp and
didn’t really communicate outside of that one Zoom call. When we
were presenting our Powerpoints to the Indian students, they
couldn’t hear us and when they were presenting theirs we couldn’t
hear them either. But we as group feel that we could’ve done the
project without any communication at all, because the information
that the Indian students delivered, was not enough and overall bad.
All the information that we used, we searched up ourselves.
Part 4; Reflection

Dominique: I was the group leader. My task was to make sure that
everyone did their work. I also made the script and worked togeher
with Sanne to figure out the props. I also made the cue cards and
flashcards. In the video, my main role was the Newsteller. My most
memorable learning experience was that we as a group work so well
together. I also learned that filming the video before we were actually
supposed to, was a really good choice. We had more time to film at
our own pace and didn't have to film during school. About what went
well; almost everything. We only had to film two times, We worked
very well together and our communication was clear. What we could
do better is figure out in what order to film the scenes, because Faye
had many outfit changes, which wasn't efficient. I didn’t really learn
anything from the Indian students to be honest. The information that
they put in their powerpoint wasn’t enough or researched enough. It
wasn’t clear and we couldn’t use most of it. It was way too short with
little information. We had to search up everything ourselves.

Faye: I was the editor but I mostly did filming and acting in the video.
I also made some props and brought some outfits to wear in the
video and we filmed at my house. I also brought food for in between
filming. My most memorable learning experience was that it indeed
was very important to work very hard and to not film the whole time
but also take breaks in between or else it will become less fun and we
become annoyed. I think the planning went very well because we
finished really early and that was very nice. We finished the video
after we met up three times but i think we could have probably
fooled around less so that the video was finished earlier but it was
more fun this way. I also think that we could have communicated
more with the other school because we barely said anything to each
other. To be honest we didn't learn that much from the other school
because we did everything on our own and we did not need that
much help.

Sanne: I was the backup editor. My tasks were also to bring props for
the filming, searching for information about our topic, and acting. I
also filmed. My main role was the Rapid Reporter. I also had a side
role. This was Durgabai Deshmukh. My most memorable learning
experience that starting early with filming can prevent stress because
when it has to be done soon you feel presseured into getting it done
quikly and it becomes less fun to film it and its done hastily. I became
better at not laughing to much when you are trying to record a scene
because its not fun if you have to do a scene over and over again. I
think the filming of our video went well. We only had to meet up
twice to finish filming all the scenes and do the most of the editing.
We could have done better at the order of filming the scenes. So that
every scene in same outfit was filmed in one time so we wouldn’t
have to switch oufits the whole time. I didn’t learn any the thing from
the Indian students because we couldn’t hear what they were saying
and their powerpoint was very short with not much information. We
searched all the information up ourself.

BONUS

We believe that we deserve those bonus points because;


 Our video is 9 minutes long and because of that contains more
information
 We had a relatively original idea for our filming (a news
broadcast)
 The information in our script/video is well-researched
 The video looks clean and professional
 The work was fairly devided and we all had our own duties in
this project
 Our video has a good storyline and is funny
