Armed Forces Medical College AFMC

Admission Circular 2024 is now available.
You can apply by visiting the
afmc.teletalk.com.bd website. During the
online application, choose either AFMC or
AMC cadet. There are two cadets for
admission to Armed Forces Medical and
Five Army Medical Colleges in Bangladesh.

This is the 25th batch for Armed Forces

Medical College and the 9th batch for 5
army medical colleges. Earlier, the
admission tests for AFMC and Army
Medical Colleges were separate, but now
they are conducted together.

Admission website after the application
deadline. The admit card will contain
information about the admission test date
and other details. You can find a detailed

AMC Cadets: After internship

training, they must join Army
Medical Corps (AMC). They are
exempted from admission and
tuition fees but need to pay other
charges.

AFMC Cadets: They are not

compelled to join AMC. They have
the option to join AMC like
graduates from other medical
colleges.

Application Eligibilities
Candidates must meet these requirements
for AFMC Admission 2023-24:

Passed SSC and Equivalent in 2020

or 2021.
Passed HSC and Equivalent in 2022
or 2023.
Age: Maximum 20 years on July 1,
2023.
Gender: Male/Female.
Marital Status: Unmarried.
Nationality: Bangladeshi by birth.
Educational Qualification: Must have
passed SSC and HSC or equivalent
exams with Physics, Chemistry, and
Biology in HSC or its equivalent.

Minimum Educational
Performance:
a. Total GPA: 9.00

b. GPA in Biology: 3.50 in HSC or

equivalent exams.

Physical Standards:
For AMC Cadets:

Height:
Male: Minimum 1.63 m (5’-4’’)
Female: Minimum 1.55 m (5’-1’’)
Weight:
Male: Minimum 45.36 Kg (100
lbs)
Female: Minimum 40.00 Kg (88
lbs)
Chest:
Male: Normal – 0.76m (30’’),
Expanded – 0.81m (32’’)
Female: Normal – 0.71m (28’’),
Expanded – 0.76m (30’’)
Visual Standard: 6/6 (± 2.5
corrected with glasses), no colour
blindness.
Hearing Standard: Within normal
limit.

For AFMC Cadets:

Height:
Male: Minimum 1.57 m (5’-2’’)
Female: Minimum 1.50 m (4’-11’’)
Weight: 10% over/under-weight of
the existing standard or 15 lbs
higher, whichever is greater, will be
considered fit.
Chest: Minimum 28’’ with 2’’
expansion.
Visual Standard: 6/6 in both eyes
correctable with ± 4.00 (maximum)
spherical/equivalent cylindrical
power glasses.
Total colour blindness not
accepted.
Hearing Standard: Within normal
limit.

AFMC Admission Form

Go to afmc.teletalk.com.bd.
Select the appropriate path based
on your curriculum.
If you passed the National
Curriculum, enter SSC & HSC roll
numbers, education board, and
passing year. If you passed GCE
(O/A/both), enter the code received
from the Director, Medical
Education, DGHS.
Complete the form by filling in the
required details and attach a recent
photo and signature.
After submitting the form, a
“Students Copy” will appear.
Pay Tk 750/- within 48 hours using
Teletalk number. Failure to do so will
result in form cancellation, but you
can reapply if the submission
deadline is still open.
Candidates selected for the written
exam will receive an SMS and can
download the admit card four days
before the exam.
Admit cards can be color or black &
white print. It will contain exam
details, center, and instructions.
For O/A both passed candidates,
use GPA/GP based on the
equivalence certificate from DGHS,
Bangladesh Government.

Payment Instruction
First, go to your mobile phone’s SMS
system and type:
AFMC <User ID> and send it to
16222.
Example: AFMC B7890000 and
send it to 16222.
After sending the first SMS, wait a
minute. Teletalk will send you a
return SMS with a PIN number. Save
the PIN and now make the second
SMS like:
AFMC YES <PIN> and send it to
16222.
Example: AFMC YES 7890000 and
send it to 16222.

Admit Card Download

The Admit Card for the Armored Forces
Medical College and 5 Army Medical
Colleges Admission Test 2023-24 is now
available. You can download the AFMC
Admit Card 2023 PDF from the admissions
website, AFMC Teletalk Com BD Result
2024. You’ll receive an SMS notification
about the admit card download. Once you
get the SMS, log in with your user ID and
password to download the AFMC
Admissions admit card. Follow these steps:

Visit the Admission website at

afmc.teletalk.com.
Log in using your user ID and
password.
Download and print the PDF file of
the admission test admit card.

Marks Distribution
Candidates are chosen for the written
exam based on SSC and HSC results and
other criteria. All eligible candidates will
take the admission test, which includes a
100-mark multiple-choice written exam
(following the HSC syllabus). Each correct
answer gets ‘1’ point, and 0.25 points are
deducted for each incorrect answer. The
marks are distributed as follows:

Chemistry: 30 marks
Physics: 30 marks
Biology: 30 marks
English: 10 marks

For the final merit list, 8 times the GPA

score of SSC and 12 times the GPA score
of HSC are added. If students from the
2014-2015 session who got admission to
any Govt. medical/dental colleges appear
in the current session’s exam, 5 marks will
be deducted. AMC & AFMC candidates
who pass the written exam will undergo
preliminary and final medical examinations.
Medically fit AFMC candidates will also
have a viva voce exam to evaluate
communication skills, general knowledge,
leadership qualities, and human values.
Preliminary medically fit AMC candidates
will appear for ISSB, and those selected by
ISSB will undergo a final medical
examination at CMH, Dhaka.

Seat Plan
Admission tests for Armed Forces Medical
College and 5 Army Medical Colleges are
on March 11. Tests will be in Dhaka,
Chittagong, Comilla, Bogra, Rangpur, and
Jessore Cantonments. Details are in the
admit card. AFMC seat plan 2024 is
available [here]. The admit card has
seating details. Candidates must go to their
chosen center, and changes aren’t allowed.
The admit card includes the exam center,
address, building, and room number. Be at
the center an hour before, following health
guidelines. The admit card has detailed
test instructions.

Admission Test Result

The AFMC Admission Result 2024 is out
now. You can find the results for AFMC and
AMC on the AFMC EDU BD and AFMC
Teletalk Com BD websites. The Merit list
and waiting list are available as PDF files.
The Health Test Schedule for selected
candidates will be published soon, and the
tests will begin after the results are
announced. The admission test for Armed
Forces Medical College and Army Medical
College took place on March 11 for the
MBBS Course in various locations.

The AFMC Result 2024 and AMC Result

2024 are now available in PDF format on
afmc.edu.bd. You can also check the
results on afmc.teletalk.com.bd. The
admission test has concluded, and the
computerized evaluation of the MCQ
admission test OMR sheets is in progress.
The final Admission Test Results will be
announced once all processes are
completed. The release date for the Armed
Forces Medical College Result will be
declared by the admission authority after
the results are prepared. You can find all
updates and results on the official website.

Conclusion:
The AFMC Admission circular 2023-2024
has ended, and the results are now
available. You can check the AFMC and
AMC results on the AFMC EDU BD and
